The Buccaneers spent a second-round pick on Missouri LB Josiah Trotter. The son of former NFL LB Jeremiah Trotter drew starting duty the past two years, first at West Virginia and then with the Tigers. He racked up 13 tackles for loss among 84 total tackles in his final college season, before entering the draft early.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
Trotter goes to a Bucs team that signed LB Alex Anzalone for starter-level money in free agency. They also return incumbent starter Sirvocea Dennis.
Trotter could compete with Dennis for the spot next to Anzalone, but he didn't rate well in coverage either of the past two years. That could position Trotter as a two-down type.
Ultimately, I'm not betting on significant 2026 fantasy impact from the rookie.
Dynasty Impact
Trotter looks OK over the longer term. He'll need to prove he has three-down potential to present meaningful fantasy on that front as well, though.
He's OK as a later-round rookie-draft option but falls short of being exciting.
