The Saints selected Georgia TE Oscar Delp in Round 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft. Delp spent his first two seasons behind Brock Bowers, but his production didn’t spike after Bowers left. He finished seventh on the team in catches in 2024 and fourth in 2025. (A hairline foot fracture likely impacted his final season.) The efficiency profile doesn’t offer much encouragement. Among 27 Combine TEs, Delp ranked just 21st in receiving yardage share (12.0%), 21st in yards per team pass attempt (0.95), and 21st in yards per route run (1.29). Delp did show excellent athleticism at the Combine, earning a 9.83 Relative Athletic Score.
What They're Saying
Longtime NFL analyst Greg Cosell, via the Ross Tucker Podcast: "I thought he had all the traits demanded to be a starting-quality TE at the next level. There were times watching his tape, the player I thought of was Dallas Goedert coming out of South Dakota State.”
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
Delp doesn't project for much usage behind Chris Olave, Jordyn Tyson, and Juwan Johnson.
Johnson is coming off a career-best season that included 102 targets, 77 catches, and 889 yards. Olave added career highs across the board.
Dynasty Impact
Delp's athleticism makes him a name to watch in dynasty. You'll need to be patient if you grab him in a rookie draft, though.
Johnson's under contract for two more seasons. He turns 30 this December, though, and a hefty contract could challenge his post-2026 outlook.
There's a chance Delp flirts with 2027 relevance, but you're more likely waiting utnil at least 2028 (if it happens).
