The Saints selected Georgia TE Oscar Delp in Round 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft. Delp spent his first two seasons behind Brock Bowers, but his production didn’t spike after Bowers left. He finished seventh on the team in catches in 2024 and rose to fourth in 2025. A hairline foot fracture likely impacted his final season. The efficiency profile doesn’t offer much encouragement. Among 27 Combine TEs, Delp ranked ninth in aDOT (8.1), but just 21st in receiving yardage share (12.0%), 21st in yards per team pass attempt (0.95), and 21st in yards per route run (1.29). Delp did show excellent athleticism at the Combine with a 9.83 Relative Athletic Score.
What They're Saying
Here's long-time NFL analyst Greg Cosell with his evaluation of Delp (via the Ross Tucker Podcast).
"I thought he had all the traits demanded to be a starting quality TE at the next level. There were times watching his tape, the player I thought of was Dallas Goedert coming out of South Dakota State.”
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
Delp doesn't project for much usage behind Chris Olave, Jordyn Tyson, and Juwan Johnson.
Johnson is coming off a career-best season that included 102 targets, 77 catches, and 889 yards. Olave added career highs across the board.
Dynasty Impact
Delp's athleticism makes him a name to watch in dynasty circles.
Fantasy managers just may need to be patient, as Johnson is under contract for two more seasons. Note that his cap hit jumps from $7.6 million in 2027 to $15.1 millon in 2028, so there's a chance he doesn't reach the end of his deal.
That could make Delp a fantasy-relevant player in Year 2.
