The Browns on Friday announced that LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah has landed on the reserve/physically unable to perform list. That means he's out for the entire 2026 season. JOK is still trying to work back from a neck injury he suffered in Week 8 of 2024. He also spent 2025 on the reserve/PUP list.
What They're Saying
Owusu-Koramoah to ClevelandBrowns.com in early April: "For my recovery, I have been resting and going through different treatments, whether it's soft-tissue work, needling, or other forms of therapy. But most importantly, I've been in deep conversation with specialists and physicians trying to understand the true risks of returning. It's not just whether I can play again; it's about understanding the cost of continuing and making a decision with 100% certainty."
Fantasy Football Impact
Cleveland.com's Mary Kay Cabot reported back in February that Owusu-Koramoah's chances of returning to the field at all were "doubtful at best." This week's designation seems to solidify that, if not outright tell us that the young LB is done.
JOK's injury was also deemed potentially career-threatening at the time. And he'll begin taking classes this fall at Harvard's Kennedy School toward a master's degree in public policy. That sure seems like a guy focused on post-football life.
It's a shame to lose the talent of a former second-round pick who had been trending toward high-impact IDP status over his final season and a half. But at least JOK appears poised to pursue meaningful work beyond his NFL career.
Dynasty Impact
If you haven't done so already, it's safe to drop Owusu-Koramoah from your dynasty rosters.
