Dolphins HC Jeff Hafley revealed on Wednesday that RB De'Von Achane had shoulder surgery this offseason. Achane missed last year's finale with a shoulder injury and "had to get cleaned up," Hafley said. "He did that and he’s rehabbing right now. He’s doing well." Achane was on the field for Wednesday's OTA session but not was a full participant.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
This is the first we've heard of a shoulder surgery for Achane, but it doesn't seem likely to impact his 2026 season. Getting on the field for May OTAs is a good sign. As is the four-year, $64 million extension Achane signed earlier this month.
We'll keep a close eye on him when training camp opens in late July, but we're not moving Achane in the RB rankings right now.
Ollie Gordon and Jaylen Wright are battling for the No. 2 spot on the depth chart after splitting those duties last year.
