Rachaad White Headshot

Commanders RB Rachaad White has missed "the last few days" of practice because of a hamstring injury, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. White reportedly sustained the injury in a joint practice with the Dolphins last week, before Friday night's preseason opener.

What They're Saying: Minor Deal

Garafolo: "Worked out prior to Friday's game. Not considered serious or long-term for White."

2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Probably Nothing, but We'll See

That White did anything before the Friday night exhibition supports the notion that it's a minor issue. If there were any real concern, the team would have shut him all the way down.

We'll watch for how long White remains out and any further details on his injury, but we're not adjusting the RB's outlook yet for this factor.

His absence should, at least, give Jacory Croskey-Merritt a shot to add some passing-game reps. That's the area in which JCM most lacks experience and needs to improve, and it's the strongest aspect of White's game.
