Ravens K Tyler Loop didn't face any competition in training camp or the preseason, but his performance in Friday night's finale might change that before Week 1. Loop missed left on attempts from 51 and 58 yards against Washington, which don't seem like terrible flubs. But new HC Jesse Minter expressed concern after the game.
What They're Saying: Coach Has Some Doubts
Minter, via ESPN: "You want to see makes in games. And so, it's something we'll continue to look at. We'll continue to look at what the best situation is there. He has a good camp overall, but again, it comes down to making the kicks and the pressure situations in the game. So, that's something I think that we'll always be looking at to make sure that we're doing what's best for the team. I think there's a million scenarios there to try to make sure that we have the best situation headed into Indy."
2026 Fantasy Football Impact: He's a Shaky Option
I'd still bet on Loop opening the season as Baltimore's kicker, so you can feel free to take a shot on him in drafts -- as long as you'll get a shot at waivers before Week 1.
If you don't get such an opportunity, though, you should pass on the Ravens situation in your draft. Frankly, you might want to just pass on him anyway.
Loop finished last season just 20th at the position in fantasy points per game. We'll see what a new offensive system means for his outlook, but there's not much worth chasing here.
