Chargers S Derwin James says he fractured his left pinky in Sunday's loss to the Raiders and will play with a cast on that hand until it's healed. ESPN's Kris Rhim initially reported that James would play with the cast for the rest of the year but recanted that. The typical recovery window for this injury appears to be 3-6 weeks.

It's good that James will be playing through the injury, which happens fairly commonly for defensive players.
Playing with the cast shouldn't affect his ability to tackle or make other plays, but it's likely to impede his ability to catch the football. That's not a huge blow to the IDP value of a guy who has averaged 2 INTs across his six healthy seasons.
