Bills TE Dalton Kincaid finished Sunday's game with just 2 catches for 38 yards among 3 targets. His production struggled amid a poor passing day for Buffalo, but there were a couple of specifics worth noting.
Kincaid Loses Fumble Amid Big Gain
Kincaid caught a short pass on third-and-8 in the third quarter and made a nice run after the catch to pick up 24 yards. But Chargers DB Tarheeb Still punched the ball out at the end, and S Tony Jefferson recovered.
Kincaid also picked up a 14-yard catch-and-run near the middle of the second quarter. But that was it for his production.
Dawson Knox Gets Uncomfortably Close
Kincaid ran a route on 67.7% of Josh Allen's dropbacks against the Chargers. That lined right up with his rates of 68.4% and 68.8% the previous two games.
But Dawson Knox caught up to him in this one.
After trailing Kincaid by 10 routes in each of the first two games, Kincaid ran just one fewer route than Kincaid against the Chargers.
That's not necessarily a problem. Knox played more snaps than Kincaid against the Lions and trailed Kincaid by just four snaps against Houston in Week 1.
This marked the first 2026 game in which the Bills trailed for a meaningful amount of time. So perhaps Buffalo just turned more of Knox's snaps from blocking into routes.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
There's no action to take on this at the moment, but it's worth watching.
The Bills get a home date with a struggling Patriots offense in Week 4, so expect the host to play from ahead.
Kincaid should remain in starting plans.
