Kittle posts his highest scoring week since returning from his achilles injury. He finished Sunday’s win over the Cardinals with a team-high 7 targets, on his way to a six reception, 82-yard, and 2 TD performance. Kittle ranks as the TE2 in Week 3 pending Sunday- and Monday Night Football.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Another Post-Injury Step
The 49ers were already down receiving weapons with Ricky Pearsall out for the season and De’Zhaun Stribling projected to be sidelined until Week 11, so Mike Evans' early exit with a rib injury only further boosted Kittle’s target volume.
Which was apparent on Sunday with five of Kittle’s 6 catches coming after Evans left injured, including both of his touchdown grabs.
Following Sunday’s 26.2 PPR point outburst, the 49ers TE is averaging 15.8 PPR on the season, which would’ve ranked as the TE4 last season.
It also marked Kittle’s second straight week of improved production, a great signal for the veteran TE returning from such a serious injury.
If Evans misses any time moving forward, Kittle’s rank will only keep climbing.
