Packers LB Edgerrin Cooper is believed to have torn his left Achilles' tendon in Sunday's win over the Bucs. That would obviously end his season.
What They're Saying
HC Matt LaFleur after the game, asked about Cooper's outlook and then whether he'll miss the rest of the season: "Not good. ... I would suspect that, yes."
QB Jordan Love: "I'm sick. He's such an impact player on our defense."
2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Bad Defense Gets Worse
It'll be a surprise at this point if the news reverses on Cooper.
Isaiah McDuffie will replace him in the lineup and deserves some fantasy attention. McDuffie reached 70% playing time in just three games last year but averaged 10.3 tackles over that stretch, with a pair of half-sacks and an INT. He also tallied games of 10 and 15 total tackles in limited duty the year before.
The Green Bay defense has already struggled and remains without Edge Micah Parsons (ACL recovery). The unit worked out for fantasy in Sunday's matchup with Bucs undrafted rookie QB Jalon Daniels. But don't plan to play Green Bay again anytime soon.
Here's the schedule for the Packers leading up to the Week 11 bye:
- Bears
- Cowboys
- at Lions
- Panthers
- at Patriots
- Vikings
That Minnesota matchup looks like the only potentially playable spot.
Cooper has one more year on his rookie deal with the Packers.
