Titans QB Cam Ward threw for just 102 yards on 11-of-22 passing in Sunday's win over the Colts, adding 1 TD and 1 INT. Ward also rushed twice for 8 yards but lost a yard of that to a kneel down at the end of the first half. According to Sumer Sports, that's the lowest yardage total this season for any QB who played the full game and won.
What They're Saying
Titans insider Paul Kuharsky: "Credit to Cam Ward for being part of a Titans win in Indianapolis, his first against an AFC South foe. But he was 11 for 22 for 102 yards with a TD, a pick and a 59.3 passer rating. ... Ward threw a screen over Wan'Dale Robinson's head and a really curious pass into an empty area of the end zone. And Brian Daboll was quite conservative calling plays for him with nothing over the middle."
2026 Fantasy Football Impact: It Hurts
To be fair, Robinson's only 5'8.
To be fair for real, Ward dealt with a pair of drops, according to Pro Football Focus. His receivers have dropped 11 for the year, a 9.2% rate that ranks fourth-highest among starters.
That's an issue, but it's obviously not the only problem for a passing game that entered Sunday ranked:
- 20th in pass attempts
- 31st in yards
- 30th in TDs
- 31st in net yards per pass attempt
Ward lands outside the top 24 fantasy QBs this week for the second time in a row and fourth time through six games.
He has exceeded 183 yards in a game just once so far and has a matching 4 TDs and 4 INTs for the year.
If things keep going this way, it's not difficult to imagine the team benching Ward for Mitchell Trubisky at some point. Tennessee's backup might be worth a stash in deeper superflex and two QB leagues, if you have a roster spot to play with.
