Jalen Coker Headshot

Coker had his worst game of the season, catching 1 of 4 targets for 9 yards. He finished as WR69 for the week. He ran a route on 91% of dropbacks, but drew just a 10% target rate per route run with 0.30 yards per route run. Coker worked a deep role with a 20.0-yard aDOT and lined up in the slot on 53% of his snaps. Tetairoa McMillan was the clear lead receiver with 6 targets, while Darren Waller’s 50-yard TD led the team in receiving yards.

2026 Fantasy Football Impact

This was a big drop after Coker posted 6 catches for 97 yards in Week 6. Through five games, he has 25 catches for 328 yards and 2 TDs, though 138 of those yards and both TDs came in Week 1. The Carolina passing game has had a pattern this year. When the opponent has an elite outside CB, Coker usually leads the way from the slot. When it doesn’t, McMillan tends to dominate. Bryce Young also struggled here, going 14 of 27 for 163 yards with 2 INTs and 5 sacks, and losing RT Taylor Moton to an ankle injury won’t help his protection.

Carolina visits Green Bay in Week 8, hosts Denver in Week 9 and visits New Orleans in Week 10. Heading into Week 7, the Packers ranked 14th in fantasy points allowed to WRs (32.97 per game), the Saints 17th (31.95) and the Broncos 27th (28.83). Denver’s tough pass defense is led by CB Patrick Surtain, which fits the matchup pattern that has favored Coker. He’s a mid-tier WR2 with weekly volatility, and Week 9 could be a strong spot for him.
