Williams found the end zone twice in the win, catching 5 of 9 targets for 91 yards and finishing as WR3 for the week. He played 57 snaps and ran 30 routes, tying Amon-Ra St. Brown for the team lead in routes. His 9 targets were his most of the season, giving him a 29% share of Detroit’s 31 targets. St. Brown still led the team in yards (153), but Williams was the one Goff trusted near the goal line.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
Williams has been on a TD tear lately. After going scoreless through the first four games, he’s caught 4 TDs over his last two. He also topped 90 yards for the second time in three games after posting 102 in Week 4. On the season, he has 23 catches for 367 yards and 4 TDs, an average of 16.0 yards per catch. His role should stay steady with Tom Kennedy out for the season on IR. Isaac TeSlaa remains the No. 3 WR, but he managed just 2 targets.
The schedule turns tough. Detroit hosts Minnesota in Week 8, visits Miami in Week 9 and hosts New England in Week 10. Heading into Week 7, the Dolphins had allowed the second-fewest fantasy points per game to WRs (23.18), and the Vikings ranked 28th (27.14). The Patriots ranked 18th (31.73). Williams’ big-play ability keeps him a WR2 with weekly upside, but his TD streak will be hard to keep up against these defenses.
