Both Packers WRs played through injuries this week, with Watson managing an ankle injury and Golden a shoulder issue. Golden led the team with 12 targets, a 29% share of Green Bay’s 42, but he turned them into just 6 catches for 39 yards. He also briefly left the game before returning. Watson caught 5 of 8 targets for a team-high 57 yards. Golden ran 41 routes and Watson ran 38 on Jordan Love’s 47 dropbacks. Watson finished as WR21 for the week, with Golden right behind him at WR23.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
Watson has been the more productive of the two. He has 34 catches for 595 yards and 6 TDs, including two 140-yard games. But he hasn’t scored in three straight games. Golden has 36 catches for 540 yards and 3 TDs, and this was a big step back after back-to-back 100-yard games. Savion Williams continues to work as the slot receiver with Jayden Reed and Skyy Moore on IR. He caught all 3 of his targets for 47 yards. The Packers also promoted Coleman Owen, giving them six active WRs, though he didn’t play an offensive snap.
Green Bay hosts Carolina in Week 8, visits New England in Week 9 and hosts Minnesota in Week 10. Heading into Week 7, the Panthers ranked 24th in fantasy points allowed to WRs (29.56 per game), the Patriots 18th (31.73) and the Vikings 28th (27.14). None of these matchups is especially favorable. Both are WR2s as long as they stay healthy, with Watson’s big-play upside giving him a slight edge.
