The Titans have agreed to a 3-year, $23 million deal with Cameron Wake, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. The deal includes $10 million guaranteed and positions Wake at OLB in a Tennessee defense that needs a pass-rushing upgrade. Wake remains a threat off the edge at age 37 but posted a career-low 5.5 sacks last year and has seen his fantasy scoring averages dip for 3 straight years. He's not much of an IDP factor anymore but has a shot to help the Titans' D overall.

Dolphins DE Cameron Wake (knee surgery), CB Bobby McCain (knee) and S T.J. McDonald (knee) are active for today's game against the Lions. Wake returns after having a knee scoped and could see his playing time limited. McCain returns after missing the past 2 games. He defensed passes in each of his 1st 4 appearances this season. McDonald has played through previous "questionable" designations with this ailment. We wouldn't chase after any of the 3 in IDP lineups, but their presences help a team defense with some upside this week -- especially at cheap DFS salaries.

Dolphins CB Bobby McCain (knee), S T.J. McDonald (knee) and DE Cameron Wake (knee) are questionable for Sunday's game against the Lions. None of the 3 is a significant IDP option, but all 3 are starters for Miami. We'll check on their status Sunday morning.

The Dolphins have ruled out DE Charles Harris (calf) and CB Bobby McCain (knee) for today's game against the Bears. Harris had been filling in for Cameron Wake. With both out, DE Andre Branch will start. Wake has had arthroscopic knee surgery, but multiple reports indicate he could return for Week 7. Miami will have S T.J. McDonald (foot) in the lineup despite his questionable tag.

Dolphins S Reshad Jones is active for today's game against the Bengals after missing the previous 2 games with a shoulder injury. S T.J. McDonald is also active despite entering the day questionable with a foot injury. The defense will miss DE Cameron Wake (knee) and CB Bobby McCain (knee). Charles Harris will start in place of Wake.

Dolphins S Reshad Jones (shoulder) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Bengals. Early-week reports said the team expected him back, but we'll need to check his status Sunday morning. Jones put in full practices Thursday and Friday last week but still missed the game. DE Cameron Wake, however, is doubtful with a knee injury.

Dolphins S Reshad Jones (shoulder) is out for today's game against the Patriots. That's a bit surprising given his full practices Thursday and Friday, but earlier Sunday reports suggested Jones would remain out. We'll see about his status headed toward Week 5. DE Cameron Wake (knee) is active but merely a lower-level IDP option.

Dolphins S Reshad Jones (shoulder) and DE Cameron Wake (knee) are questionable for Sunday's game against the Patriots. Each guy put in full practices Thursday and Friday, though, and appears on track to play. We'll confirm the status of each guy Sunday morning.

According to The Miami Herald, Dolphins HC Adam Gase has "really high" confidence that DE Cameron Wake will be ready for the start of training camp. Wake tore his left Achilles' tendon in an Oct. 29 loss at New England, but has reportedly been impressing in his return so far. "He has been doing some things in the OTA practices that makes me feel like he’s right on track," Gase said. "It’s probably us holding him back more than him saying, ‘I can’t do something.’” We'll see how Wake looks and holds up this summer, but this is obviously good news for one of the league's top pass rushers. An active Wake will be worth taking a chance on in IDP drafts this summer, though he probably won't crack the top 10 in our DL rankings.

Dolphins DE Cameron Wake on Saturday signed a 2-year extension. The pact will pay him $15 million, with $10 million of that guaranteed, according to ESPN.com. Wake's season ended last November with an Achilles' tear, and now he reportedly gets the largest contract ever for a pass-rusher older than 33. We don't have the cap details of the new deal yet, but the veteran was set to count $9.8 million against the 2016 cap. This seems like a move to clear cap space for the team, with Wake no lock to return to form this season. IDP owners should remain wary of the 34-year-old. And if you see an opportunity to sell Wake for value in a dynasty format, take it.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Dolphins DE Cameron Wake tore his left Achilles' tendon in Thursday night's loss to the Patriots, just as everyone feared. That obviously ends Wake's season and might threaten his career. He'll turn 34 in January and has dealt with nagging injuries at times over the past couple of seasons. Colts OLB Robert Mathis actually suffered the same injury in summer 2014, heading into his age-33 season and has started just 1 game since. Already inconsistent against the run, Wake might turn into a pass-rush specialist for any time he has left on the field. He's tough to like as a long-term IDP factor. For this season, Derrick Shelby looks like the main replacement at left DE. Losing Wake obviously hurts the Miami team D as well, taking away its best pass-rusher and top sack producer.

9:47pm EDT 10/29/15

Dolphins DE Cameron Wake left Thursday night's game in the 3rd quarter with an injury to his left leg. He pulled up awkwardly while pass-rushing and put no weight on the leg as 2 trainers helped him off the field. It was not a promising scene. And Wake then rode on the back of a cart into the locker room, with the injured leg out straight. We'll keep an eye out for the diagnosis. Wake had delivered a sack for the 3rd consecutive game before getting hurt.

Update: The Dolphins have ruled Wake out for the rest of the game with an Achilles' injury. We're not expecting good news from the ultimate diagnosis. Derrick Shelby took over the left DE spot with Wake out.

1:47pm EDT 9/20/15

Dolphins DE Cameron Wake is active for today's visit to Jacksonville. He missed some practice time with a hamstring issue this week that rendered him questionable. But you should go ahead and start the high-upside pass rusher in your IDP league.

The Dolphins could be down DE Cameron Wake and S Reshad Jones on Sunday at Jacksonville. Both are questionable after putting in limited Friday practices. The late kickoff Sunday afternoon will make it tough to wait on them for many IDP owners, but those 2 just might be worth the risk. Baltimore's Will Hill and the Jets' Marcus Gilchrist stand as potential fill-ins for Jones, while Colts DE Kendall Langford, Seahawks DE Cliff Avril and Raiders DE Justin Tuck can provide insurance behind Wake for your lineup.

Dolphins DE Dion Jordan will sit out the 1st 4 games after violating the league's PED policy.  Jordan admitted to using the stimulant that showed up in the test and said he takes full responsibility for the violation.  Of course, that doesn't help his outlook.  Jordan did almost nothing as a rookie after Miami traded up to #3 overall to select him in 2013.  The team has been hoping for a breakthrough year, but the suspension will make it more difficult for Jordan to steal playing time from starting DEs Olivier Vernon and Cameron Wake.  Jordan's off the draft radar for 2014 IDP leagues.

Dolphins HC Joe Philbin told the Miami Herald on Tuesday that 2nd-year DE Dion Jordan "will make a big jump this year."  That, of course, seems like what we all should expect from Jordan.  Miami traded up to the #3 spot in last April's NFL Draft to get him and then played the former Oregon Duck just 339 snaps.  Philbin, however, also said that DE Derrick Shelby deserves more snaps as well and that he views Jordan as a DE, not an OLB.  That'll make it tough to carve out a big role behind starters Cameron Wake and Olivier Vernon (and his 11.5 sacks from 2013).  Perhaps Philbin realized this in following up by saying, "We see (Jordan's) role increasing somewhat."  Don't look for Jordan to deliver starting value for your IDP squad in 2014.  Frankly, we'd love to see new GM Dennis Hickey trade Jordan to a more favorable situation.

11:11am EDT 10/6/13

Dolphins DE Cameron Wake is active today.  He missed the Monday night loss at New Orleans with a sprained MCL but appears ready to go.  It's not yet clear how limited his snaps might be, which obviously adds risk to using him in your IDP league.  We like many options more for the week, but you'll have to weigh the risk vs. reward on your team.

Dolphins DE Cameron Wake will be a game-time decision for Sunday's matchup with the Ravens.  The star pass-rusher missed the Week 4 loss to New Orleans because of an MCL sprain after testing it out on the field beforehand.  We'd expect a similar setup this week.  Fortunately, the 1 p.m. ET kickoff on Sunday means patient IDP owners can wait and potentially start Wake if he's active.  Of course, there will be safer options even in that case if you prefer not to gamble.
