Jaguars Take a Chance on Productive WR Josh Cameron
The Jacksonville Jaguars selected Baylor WR Josh Cameron in Round 6 of the 2026 NFL Draft. After three quiet seasons as a walk-on, Cameron led the Bears in receptions, receiving yards, and TDs in both 2024 and 2025. He earned All-Big 12 honors as a punt returner in 2024 and as a WR in 2025. Cameron’s 26.3% dominator rating (share of team’s receiving yards + TDs) last year ranked 21st among the 49 WRs invited to the Combine. But he ranked outside the top 35 in both targets per route (0.20) and yards per route (1.70). He never hit 2.0 yards per route across his five college seasons. Cameron is a power player at 6’2 and 220 pounds. He’s a legitimate red-zone weapon with strong body control, timing, and ball tracking. Cameron was one of only six FBS players with 19+ receiving scores over the past two seasons. He also boasts reliable hands, dropping only 7 passes at Baylor (4.0% drop rate). But Cameron struggles to separate and will need to continue winning contested balls at the next level.
