And Baltimore is scheduled to play the Cowboys next Thursday night, further complicating the situation. QB Robert Griffin will start for the Ravens if they play on Sunday.

ESPN’s Jamison Hensley believes the “most likely scenario” is Jackson getting the start and Robert Griffin “mixing in for some series and special packages.” Jackson has some QB2 appeal thanks to his rushing ability and this plus matchup. But he can’t be trusted as a QB1 when he won’t play 100% of the snaps.

That shouldn't keep him out of this weekend's game against the Bengals, but the missed practice could hurt his chances of getting the start if Flacco can't go. QB Robert Griffin took all the reps in Thursday's workout.

The Ravens have signed QB Robert Griffin III, according to multiple reports. Griffin's obviously not a challenge to moribund-yet-deeply entrenched starter Joe Flacco. But it's noteworthy that Baltimore picked up RG3 while Ryan Mallett remains on the open market. Mallett backed up Flacco the past 2 seasons after arriving mid-2015. He started 2 games that year and appeared in 6 total (no starts) over the past 2 seasons. It might surprise a lot of folks that Griffin only just turned 28 in February. He obviously has plenty to prove, though, before we can consider him even a dynasty bench candidate at this point -- especially with the Ravens' lackluster pass-catching corps.

The Browns have released QB Robert Griffin, saving nearly $7 million against the 2017 salary cap. RG3 didn't even make it through a game last year before breaking his left shoulder. He returned for the final 4 games but totaled just 696 passing yards with 2 TDs and 2 INTs. Since his impressive 2012 rookie campaign, Griffin has thrown 22 TDs vs. 21 INTs. He'll need to settle for a backup gig on the open market.

The Browns have released QB Josh McCown. The 37-year-old appeared in 5 games as part of Cleveland's 2016 QB carousel, completing just 54.5% of his passes with 6 TDs and 6 INTs. McCown reportedly wants to continue his playing career but will only draw interest as a veteran backup. The Browns, meanwhile, are left with QBs Robert Griffin, Cody Kessler and Kevin Hogan. They'll likely add to that group via free agency and/or the draft.

Browns HC Hue Jackson announced Monday that QB Robert Griffin will start Saturday's game against the Chargers. Jackson said Griffin improved from his Week 14 performance to yesterday's. His completion rate jumped from 42.9% to 60.7%, and he didn't throw an INT. But RG3 still totaled just 196 yards with no TDs. He added 48 yards and a score on the ground and is actually sitting 9th among QBs in fantasy points with the Monday night game left to be played. But Griffin can't be trusted as more than a QB2 in Week 16 lineups.

The forecast for today's Browns-Bills game calls for a slight chance of snow but winds of 20-30 mph. That's certainly enough to impact the passing games. Hopefully you're not relying on any part of Cleveland's passing attack. Downgrade Bills QB Tyrod Taylor and WR Sammy Watkins a tad, but both are still fine fantasy starters. Expect a heavy dose of RB LeSean McCoy today.

The forecast for today's Bengals-Browns game calls for 1-3 inches of snow and winds of 10-20 mph. We start to worry about the passing games when winds get over 15 mph, so this is a slight concern. Both teams figured to go run-heavy anyway, and the weather will only push them farther in that direction.

It's official. The Browns announced Thursday that QB Robert Griffin III will start Sunday's rematch with the Bengals. It'll be Griffin's 1st game action since he suffered a fracture in his left shoulder in the season opener -- a game in which he and the Browns offense on whole struggled. It's impossible to project Griffin's impact on the rest of the offensive skill players. His mobility adds something for the Bengals' D to worry about, but Griffin has also been disturbingly susceptible to sacks and oft-erratic with his passing when we've had the chance to see him play over the past couple of years. We certainly can't count him as an upgrade over QB Cody Kessler, or a downgrade for Cincinnati's team D value in fantasy football this week.
