Texans QB Deshaun Watson injured his right arm in the 4th quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Bengals. His arm was hit and bent awkwardly just as he was attempting a throw. We'll update Watson's status when we know more. QB A.J. McCarron is Houston's backup.

The Bills have traded QB A.J. McCarron to the Raiders for a 5th-round pick. It's not a surprising move after Josh Allen and Nathan Peterman seemed to play their way ahead of him in the preseason. Expect McCarron to immediately slot in as Derek Carr's backup, replacing Connor Cook.

Bills QB Josh Allen will start the team's 3rd preseason game against the Bengals on Sunday. The rookie has been surprisingly competent through 3 exhibitions, completing 18 of 32 passes (56.2%) for 176 yards, 2 TDs and 0 INTs. None of that has come against 1st-team defenses, though. So Sunday will be Allen's biggest test yet. If he passes it, he'll likely be under center for Buffalo in Week 1 against the Ravens. In other Bills QB news, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that additional testing revealed QB A.J. McCarron did not break his collarbone in the 2nd preseason game and will return to practice "soon."

Bills QB A.J. McCarron suffered a hairline fracture in his collarbone in Friday night's preseason game against the Browns, according to insider Vic Carucci. So that knocks him out of the QB competition. Rookie QB Josh Allen played well vs. Cleveland, completing 9 of 13 passes for 60 yards and a score. At this point, we'd bet on the Bills rolling with Allen as their Week 1 starter. This obviously remains a situation to avoid in fantasy drafts.
