2016's Fantasy Football MVP (and final MVP numbers)

Editor’s Note: All numbers referenced in this article are through Week 16 of the NFL season.

Who was the 2016 fantasy football MVP?

David Johnson is the easy answer. And probably the correct one. He led all players with 404.4 PPR points — that includes QBs. Johnson became the 1st non-QB to pull that off since Arian Foster back in 2010.

Johnson was also incredibly dominant at his position. He out-scored the #2 RB, Ezekiel Elliott, by 77 PPR points. To put that in perspective, the 77-point gap is bigger than the gap between Elliott and the #7 RB, Melvin Gordon.

Johnson out-scored the top WR, Antonio Brown, by a whopping 97.1 PPR points.

The Cardinals stud was on a league-high 23.6% of championship teams on ESPN — just barely edging out Le’Veon Bell (23.0%). He was even more valuable in MFL10s, posting a 26.3% win rate.

Johnson also led the way in MVP points, a value-based drafting formula that helps compare player values across positions. He finished 77 MVP points ahead of #2 Ezekiel Elliott and 110.4 clear of the top non-RB, Antonio Brown.

Here’s the complete top 50 in final MVP points, along with each player’s August ADP. Below that, you’ll find MVP numbers for QBs, RBs, WRs and TEs.
