Week 10 FanDuel Picks

By Kevin English | Updated on Tue, 23 May 2023 . 1:27 PM EDT

Quarterback

Cash Game Option

Kyler Murray, Cardinals ($7,700) at Tampa Bay

Murray ranks 2nd in our $/point rankings. That shouldn’t be a shock, as the Bucs have allowed the 2nd most fantasy points to QBs this season. They were just thrashed by Russell Wilson (378-5), and before that, both Kyle Allen and Ryan Tannehill reached 20 FPs.

Murray’s rushing production provides key “outs.” He’s hit 25 yards in 6 of his last 7 outings. Now in a potential shootout, Murray also deserves a look in tournaments.

Tournament Target

Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs ($8,400) at Tennessee

Mahomes is on track to return from his knee injury. He’ll do so against a Titans pass D that just lost CB Malcolm Butler for the year.

This secondary hasn’t been tested much in 2019, but they’ve surrendered 2+ TDs in 6 of 9 games. With this K.C. offense at full health, Mahomes makes sense as a low-owned, high-upside option.

FanShare Ownership Projection: 7.6%

Also consider: Drew Brees, Jameis Winston, Daniel Jones

Running Back

Cash Game Options

Saquon Barkley, Giants ($8,600) vs. NY Jets

Barkley provides a nearly $2,000 discount on Christian McCaffrey... and I'll bite. The Jets field a respectable run D, although they’ll remain without ace LB C.J. Mosley.

Barkley should be busy in this one with both Sterling Shepard and Evan Engram sidelined.

Marlon Mack, Colts ($7,400) vs. Miami

You know the negative with Mack — he’s not a volume pass catcher. He’s exceeded 2 catches in a game only twice this year.

But you’re clicking his name for rush volume and a cupcake matchup. Mack’s reached 18 carries in 4 straight. Miami, meanwhile, has already allowed 5 separate 100-yard rushers. They also sit 25th in Pro Football Focus’ run defense grades.

Tournament Target

Aaron Jones, Packers ($7,600) vs. Carolina

Jones busted last week — right along with the rest of the Packers offense.

Back at home, look for a rebound. Prior to last week’s 8 carry-outing, Jones handled 11+ in 5 straight. He also flashed his receiving upside with 5 straight games of 4+ catches.

The Panthers arrive as 5.5-point road underdogs having allowed a league-high 11 rushing scores. Carolina’s allowed an unhealthy 4.9 YPC to RBs, too.

FanShare Ownership Projection: 13.3%

Also consider: Nick Chubb, Derrick Henry, Kalen Ballage

Wide Receiver

Cash Game Options

Michael Thomas, Saints ($8,700) vs. Atlanta

Thomas hasn’t seen fewer than 11 targets since Week 4 … when he saw 9 looks. Last week he saw plenty of CB Patrick Peterson and rolled up 11-112-1 on 11 targets in Drew Brees’ return.

The Falcons are coming off a bye but have performed as 1 of the league’s worst pass defenses to this point. Eight different WRs have reached 80 yards against Atlanta. They might also remain without #1 CB Desmond Trufant.

Christian Kirk, Cardinals ($5,700) at Tampa Bay

Kirk’s garnered 11 and 5 targets in his 2 games back from injury. He’s yet to score on the year, but a matchup at Tampa is pristine. Nobody’s allowed more fantasy points to WRs than the Bucs. Pro Football Focus grades the Bucs 29th in pass coverage.

Tournament Target

Chris Godwin, Bucs ($8,200) vs. Arizona

Mike Evans is expected to see shadow coverage from CB Patrick Peterson. Godwin, though, will benefit from the absence of slot CB Tramaine Brock.

That should help spur a rebound for Godwin, who’s tallied just 43 and 61 yards over his last 2. Prior to that stretch, he reached 120 yards in 3 straight and in 4 of his past 5.

Godwin won’t be a secret this week, but I’d expect his ownership to be closer to the 15% range.

FanShare Ownership Projection: 19.1%

Also consider: Tyreek Hill, Davante Adams, Odell Beckham, Calvin Ridley, Marquise Brown

Tight End

Travis Kelce, Chiefs ($6,700) at Tennessee

Kelce sits #1 in raw points among TEs — and he's clearly ahead in $/point. You simply don’t see Kelce priced in this range, especially with Patrick Mahomes in the lineup.

The Titans haven’t allowed big fantasy production to the position, but Football Outsiders places them an exploitable 24th in TE coverage.

FanShare Ownership Projection: 14.4%

Also consider: Mike Gesicki

Defense

Cash Game Option

Browns ($3,500) vs. Bills

Tournament Target

Rams ($4,600) at Steelers
