Week 4 FanDuel Cash-Game Picks

By Kevin English | Updated on Sun, 01 Oct 2023 . 9:07 AM EDT

Top Plays for Head-to-Head and 50/50 Contests

Quarterback

Anthony Richardson, Colts ($7,600) vs. Rams

Richardson’s on track to return following a one-game absence (concussion).

He has already ripped off three rushes of at least 10 yards. And we saw the ultimate upside in Week 2 when he posted 3-35-2 rushing in the first quarter alone.

This matchup isn’t great on paper, but the Rams haven’t faced anyone with Richardson’s skill set.

Also consider: Joe Burrow

Running Back

Alvin Kamara, Saints ($6,500) vs. Buccaneers

Kamara might seem like more of a tournament play.

He’s making his 2023 debut following a three-game suspension. And we still don’t know if it’ll be with a less-than-100% Derek Carr or Jameis Winston.

Perhaps the Saints lean on Kamara more in the short range if it’s Carr under center. But I’m not expecting him to be eased in given the team’s thinned-out depth chart.

Recall that Kamara garnered buzz over the summer.

Javonte Williams, Broncos ($5,800) at Bears

The Broncos enter the weekend implied for 25 points. They're 3.5-point road favorites, despite giving up 70(!) to the Dolphins.

Current projections have Williams for about 16 touches, plenty to deliver in this spot. Chicago has allowed the second-most half-PPR points to opposing RBs.

Also consider: James Cook, Devon Achane, Chuba Hubbard (if Miles Sanders is out)

Wide Receiver

Ja'Marr Chase, Bengals ($8,200) at Titans

This price feels like an overcorrection.

Sure, Chase hasn’t found the end zone this season, but he busted his slump with a massive 12-141 line on Monday night. Now he gets a Titans pass D sitting 26th in DVOA.

Take the discount and move along.

Davante Adams, Raiders ($8,100) at Chargers

This pick assumes QB Jimmy Garoppolo clears concussion protocol. If that’s the case, Adams is clearly underpriced against the Chargers' No. 27 pass D, according to DVOA.

Adams enters the weekend with a gigantic 39.7% target share. He has combined for 53.1 FanDuel points over the past two weeks.

UPDATE: Jimmy Garoppolo is expected to sit out Week 4. This makes Adams more of a tournament play with rookie Aiden O'Connell slated to start. I'm pivoting to Puka Nacua here, who's reasonably priced at $7.5K and leads the league in targets (42).

DeAndre Hopkins, Titans ($6,300) vs. Bengals

Hopkins is the proud owner of … just 153 yards in three games.

OK. Not great. But we should factor in a pair of tough matchups: at Cleveland and at New Orleans.

We also have to recognize the absence of Treylon Burks, who’ll miss Sunday’s game with a knee injury. His loss removes about 5 targets per game.

Also consider: A.J. Brown, Tank Dell

Tight End

George Kittle, 49ers ($6,300) vs. Cardinals

Injuries to Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel could push more work Kittle’s way. He’s coming off a big 7-90 outing vs. the Giants last Thursday night, so the veteran has the benefit of extra rest.

Ultimately, we’re hunting for a TD here, and the 49ers are implied for a slate-high 29.25 points.

Also consider: Pat Freiermuth

Defense

Broncos ($3,900) at Bears

Also consider: Rams
