Jaxson Dart Headshot

Giants QB Jaxson Dart was awesome in Thursday night's upset win over the Eagles. The passing numbers weren't huge: 195 yards and one TD. But Dart was efficient, completing 68% of his 25 passes at 7.8 yards per attempt. His anticipation and accuracy were on-point all night. And Dart made multiple plays out of structure, including for a 35-yard TD to WR Wan'Dale Robinson. Dart was also a weapon on the ground, running 13 times for 58 yards and a score. He broke loose for a 20-yard TD on 3rd-and-8 on New York's first possession and had three other runs of 7+ yards.

2025 Fantasy Football Impact

Dart has opened his NFL career with rushing lines of:

  • 10-54-1
  • 7-55-0
  • 13-58-1

That's 10 carries, 55.7 yards, and 0.7 TDs per game -- or a full-season pace of 170 carries, 946 yards, and 11.3 TDs per game. Those marks would have ranked first, first, and third among QBs last year.

Dart is a long shot to maintain this level of rushing production. But he's clearly a willing and able runner. He'll continue to produce plenty of fantasy points with his legs.

The passing production figures to be more spotty. The Giants have been a run-centric offense since losing WR Malik Nabers, and the remaining pass-catching corps will continue to be a limiting factor.

But Dart has the talent to elevate his supporting cast. And that rushing production will carry him to more QB1-level fantasy weeks.

Consider him a spot-start option in 1-QB leagues going forward. There are particularly good matchups remaining in:

  • Week 10 (at Bears)
  • Week 13 (at Patriots)
  • Week 15 (vs. Commanders)
