Commanders WR Treylon Burks made just 2 catches for 30 yards in Saturday's loss to the Eagles, but it was still an encouraging outing for a guy who's had a rough career to date. Burks led Washington with five targets and ran just two fewer routes (22) than Terry McLaurin and Deebo Samuel.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
That marked a season-high 88% route rate, positioning Burks as a top-3 option in a passing game that lost TE Zach Ertz in Week 14 and WR Jaylin Lane in Week 16. Burks also made a nice snag over the middle among his two catches.
Burks now has just 7 receptions for the season, so he's not much of a fantasy factor despite a high-upside matchup with the Cowboys in Week 17.
McLaurin and Samuel, on the other hand, will make plenty of sense for championship-week lineups if Marcus Mariota's ready to play.
Each guy caught three of four targets amid low passing volume against Philly, in a game that saw Josh Johnson step in after Mariota left.
Dynasty Impact
Odds remain against Burks becoming a fantasy factor beyond this season as well. But he'll turn just 26 in March and has at least flashed the talent that made him a first-round pick three years ago.
But he makes for a mildly interesting stash at the bottom of a deep dynasty roster ahead of 2026 free agency.
