Jacksonville's signing of RB Chris Rodriguez Jr. in free agency has generated debate on whether he or second-year RB Bhayshul Tuten would prove to be the better 2026 fantasy football value. But HC Liam Coen says Tuten isn't the only 2025 rookie RB who should expect to see more work this coming season. Seventh-round pick LeQuint Allen also impressed his coaches with his passing-down work last season and remains part of the backfield plan.
What They're Saying
Coen: "LeQuint, I think, showed so much in terms of the toughness, physicality, the care factor, third-down runs that he was really good at for us. I know he had 60 catches or so in college, so that's an area I think we can continue to lean into him as well."
Allen, in fact, tallied 64 catches in his final Syracuse season alone. He caught 119 passes in all across three seasons, the final two spent as the Orange's workhorse (283 and 292 total touches).
Coen on his vision for Tuten: "You look at what 'Tut' showed in terms of getting downhill on it inside the tackles that really wasn't on his tape in college. I think we can do a better job of giving him some opportunities a little bit more that fit his skill set ... get him going in some of those instances, as well as in the ass game, in the screen game."
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
The Jaguars drafted Tuten three rounds ahead of Allen last year and then gave him the second-most touches.

But Allen led Tuten in pass-down playing time. According to Pro Football Focus, he averaged 12.4 such snaps across his 18 games (playoffs included) vs. Tuten's 8.6. That included a 61-21 lead in pass-blocking reps and a dramatically higher PFF grade in that category (80.8 to 52.9).
Pass blocking obviously doesn't provide us any fantasy points, but that strength will help to keep Allen on the field. And that presents real risk to Tuten's upside.
We still put Tuten highest among Jaguars in even our PPR RB rankings and (obviously) consider him the best bet to lead the backfield in fantasy scoring across formats.
But don't be surprised if this backfield proves frustrating all year for lineup-setting formats.
Dynasty Impact
Allen's an interesting player to stash on your dynasty bench for now. He'll likely remain third among the group in fantasy output, barring injury and further backfield addition. But sitting third behind an unproven Tuten and proven-mediocre Rodriguez presents potential for opportunity.
Projected ADP Movement
Tuten leads handily in best ball ADP, sitting RB23 on Underdog Fantasy as of this writing. Rodriguez follows at RB40, with Allen a distant third at RB74. That puts him essentially undrafted: a late-Round 21 ADP in Underdog's 20-round draft format.
Tuten and Rodriguez both stand out as negative values by our ADP Market Index vs. RBs going around them. Allen, on the other hand, presents easy value at his basically free price tag.
Even if you don't feel like stashing any late Allen on your best ball rosters, don't forget his potentially limiting impact on the output of his teammates -- especially Tuten.
