Giants WR Darius Slayton recently underwent surgery to address a core-muscle injury, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports. Slayton will miss spring workouts but is expected to be ready for the start of training camp, Garafolo adds.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
Core-muscle surgeries typically sideline players for 1-2 months, so we buy that Slayton will be good to go for training camp. He'll miss some reps in new OC Matt Nagy's offense this spring, but Slayton should have plenty of time to catch up in July and August.
He's in the mix for a starting job alongside WRs Darnell Mooney, Malachi Fields, and Calvin Austin. But it's tough to get excited about any of these guys. WR Malik Nabers will dominate targets as soon as he's back from his knee injury, and we're expecting RB Cam Skattebo and TE Isaiah Likely to also play sizable roles in this passing game.
You can do better than Slayton in the late rounds of fantasy drafts.
