Jaguars RB Chris Rodriguez had surgery on his left foot earlier this offseason, according to The Jacksonville Florida Times-Union's Ryan O'Halloran. Rodriguez has been sidelined for OTAs and minicamp, and now we know why. Per O'Halloran, Rodriguez is expected to be ready for the start of training camp in late July.

We'll look for more details on Rodriguez's injury and watch him closely when training camp opens. It's possible that this ends up being a non-factor by the time Week 1 rolls around.
But foot injuries can be tricky for skill-position players. And Rodriguez has missed valuable spring reps in his battle for playing time. (Although it's worth remembering that he played for HC Liam Coen at Kentucky in 2021.)
The Jaguars' coaching staff and the Jacksonville media have suggested that Rodriguez is set to play a significant role this season, with Sports Illustrated's John Shipley even predicting that Rodriguez will lead the team in carries.
But this foot injury has given RB Bhayshul Tuten a chance to build some momentum. The second-year back remains the highest-upside bet in this backfield and remains reasonably priced at a RB26 ADP.
Rodriguez is a tough sell at a RB38 price tag, at least until we see that he's healthy.
