Brazzell went down after getting tangled up with a defender in Wednesday's practice. The third-round rookie was competing for the No. 3 WR job behind Tetairoa McMillan and Jalen Coker. Xavier Legette now becomes the favorite there, though Person says John Metchie and David Moore remain in the mix.

2026 Fantasy Football Impact: McMillan and Coker Benefit
Brazzell, a 6'4, 198-pounder with 4.3 speed, was slated to give Carolina a field-stretching threat on the outside. Those plans are now out the window for 2026.
Legette gets a chance to revive his career, but we're not optimistic that he'll capitalize. He's been one of the least efficient WRs in the NFL over the last two seasons, ranking 116th among 121 qualifying WRs with 5.8 yards per target. Legette still isn't a recommended pick in any fantasy drafts.
Brazzell's absence makes McMillan and Coker a better bet to consolidate targets.
Dynasty Impact: Keep Brazzell Stashed
Brazzell is worth keeping stashed in all dynasty leagues. McMillan and Coker are signed through 2028 and 2029, respectively, but Legette has only two years left on his deal and doesn't seem long for Carolina.
Brazzell still has a good shot to emerge as a top-three WR for the Panthers in 2027 and beyond.
