Seahawks WR Tory Horton avoided the PUP list to open training camp after a cracked tibia cost him the final nine regular-season games and the playoffs. Horton told ESPN’s Brady Henderson that he first felt the injury in Week 3, and it only worsened from there. He underwent surgery in February to have a rod implanted in his leg but is a full go for the start of training camp.
What They're Saying: Week 3 Was The Start
Brady Henderson, ESPN: “Horton -- whose college career was cut short by a serious leg injury -- played through the discomfort for the next month, but the issue worsened. After catching 2 touchdown passes from Sam Darnold in a win over the Washington Commanders in Week 9, which gave him a team-high five receiving scores on only 13 catches, Horton underwent tests that revealed a crack in his tibia. He said the plan was to return for the playoffs, but his shin never sufficiently healed on its own.”
2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Redraft Appeal Is Minimal
Horton showed promise early last season, beating out Marquse Valdes-Scantling for the team's WR3 job and catching 5 TDs in eight games. Two of those scores came in his final game, when he was already playing through the injury.
The Seahawks traded for Rashid Shaheed two days after Horton’s final game, before they knew Horton would miss the rest of the season. Shaheed then signed a three-year, $51 million extension this offseason, locking him into the WR group long term.
Horton isn’t a redraft target though. The Seahawks' lack of passing volume and Horton sitting behind JSN, Shaheed, and Cooper Kupp limit his impact this season.
That leaves Horton at WR113 in our PPR WR rankings.
Dynasty Impact: A Deep-League Stash
Horton still carries some dynasty intrigue. Kupp is nearing the end of his career, and Horton’s five TDs in eight games flashed his talent.
He still holds little value. Our Trade Value Chart gives Horton only nominal value, but he can be rostered in larger leagues while you evaluate his role this season.
