Xavier Worthy Headshot

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Chiefs are "evaluating" a shoulder injury for WR Xavier Worthy.

2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Awaiting More Details

Too early to assess the potential impact while we await word on the severity of the issue. But this report's immediately worrisome because Worthy spent all of 2025 trying to play through a shoulder injury.

He dislocated his right shoulder early in the opener in a collision with TE Travis Kelce. Worthy missed the next two games and had to manage the issue the rest of the way.

It's not yet clear whether the current injury is to the same shoulder, but ESPN's Nate Taylor reposted Schefter's injury report and mentioned Worthy going down hard after a deep catch in practice. This video shows him landing on the same right shoulder.

We'll see what comes out about the injury before projecting fantasy impact. Worthy's already going in mid-to-low-WR4 range, so this shouldn't impact your draft plans for him yet if you're drafting right now.
