After a relatively quiet start to training camp, Eli Raridon is beginning to look the part. Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald reported, “The third-round rookie had more receptions from [Drake] Maye than he has in any other practice to date, including during his two-minute drill.” Callahan later added, “He was open and available over the middle, downfield, and on checkdowns.”
2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Flashes Before the Payoff
Raridon has two things going in his favor when it comes to predicting the future success of tight-end prospects: athleticism and draft capital.
Raridon posted a Relative Athletic Score (RAS) at the scouting combine that ranked in the top 95th percentile of all tested tight ends since 1987, then went 95th overall as the ninth tight end drafted.
Those combine to put Raridon in a group of 22 tight ends drafted in third round or higher since 2006 to achieve at least a 9.50 RAS. Of the group, half went on to produce at least a 12.0 fantasy point per game season.
We may not see that this coming season, but the camp reports trending in his favor make flashes more likely.
