After a positive start to training camp since tearing his ACL, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports, “Malik Nabers did less today than he had been.” He also added, “He worked on the side for a bit, then walked inside with a doctor an hour into practice.”
2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Camp Progress Meets a Scare
Nabers enjoyed one of the best rookie seasons ever by a WR the year prior to last. He joined Odell Beckham Jr as the only rookie wide receivers to achieve at least 18.0 fantasy points per game (PPG). He was also the only one to do so and earn a 30% or higher target share.
Unfortunately for Nabers and fans of good football players, his second season ended abruptly due to a torn ACL suffered in Week 4.
While it’s hardly a secret how impactful a healthy Nabers is for fantasy managers, his health has been more of the unknown. But he opened training camp by participating in 9 of 10 practices, per Jordan Raanan of ESPN.
So Duggan’s latest report is a scare in what had looked like linear progress. Assuming it’s nothing serious, we’ll continue to monitor Nabers’ participation.
