Emeka Egbuka Headshot

Buccaneers WR Emeka Egbuka has been diagnosed with a sprained toe, The Tampa Bay Times' Rick Stroud reports. The team is "very optimistic" that Egbuka will be back for the start of the season, Stroud adds.

What They're Saying

Stroud: "Egbuka underwent more testing today with a specialist and it was confirmed he has a sprain but it’s stable. Bucs are very optimistic that he will be ready for Week 1."

2026 Fantasy Football Impact: No Rankings Move Yet

It's good news that Egbuka is expected back by Week 1, but the fact that his availability was even in question is a little concerning. The injury doesn't sound serious, but toe issues can be tricky for skill-position players.

We're not moving Egbuka in the WR rankings right now, but we'll be watching this closely over the next month.
