KC Concepcion Headshot

Browns HC Todd Monken said he wants to get the ball to WR KC Concepcion "as often as we can." We got a glimpse of Cleveland's plans for the rookie in the preseason opener, when Concepcion tallied 4 targets and 1 carry on 25 offensive snaps. He also returned a punt for 31 yards.

What They're Saying

Monken on Concepcion: “From what we saw when we drafted him and then getting him here, I hope we’re trying to get him the ball as often as we can. That dude is explosive. He’s tough. He’s got great contact balance. He understands situational football.”

2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Short-Range Role Helps

Cleveland's QB play has been a concern all offseason, and it still is after Deshaun Watson, Shedeur Sanders, and Dillon Gabriel all struggled in the first exhibition. That caps the upside of every Browns skill-position player.

But Concepcion might be less impacted than, say, fellow rookie WR Denzel Boston because he's slated to play more of a short-range role. Those passes are easier to complete, even for bad QBs. Any rushing work would only help Concepcion's fantasy value.

We're still not drafting the rookie as more than a WR4. But it's possible that he sees enough volume to emerge as a WR3, especially in PPR leagues.
