Texans WR Tank Dell is "nowhere near ready to play," according to insider John McClain. Dell was cleared to practice in early August but has remained limited by all accounts as he works back from his December 2024 knee injury.

Dell seems to have made some progress in his return from his torn ACL and dislocated kneecap, but he won't be an early-season factor for Houston. And there's still no guarantee he'll ever be a significant contributor again.
Dell belongs on the waiver wire in all redraft leagues. Houston will open the season with Nico Collins, Kayshon Boutte, Jaylin Noel, and Xavier Hutchinson atop the depth chart after losing WR Jayden Higgins to an ACL tear last week.
Boutte and Noel are fine late-round fliers, but Collins is the only bankable fantasy starter in this WR corps.
