Cedric Gray Headshot

Titans LB Cedric Gray has entered the league's concussion protocol after a utility terrain vehicle accident over the weekend. That timing makes the starting LB likely to miss Sunday's opener against the Jets.

What They're Saying: Gray Escaped Major Injury

Team statement: "Over the weekend, Cedric Gray was involved in a UTV accident in Tennessee and sustained a concussion and minor injuries. We look forward to Cedric returning to the field soon and in full health when he clears the NFL's concussion protocol."

2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Some Questions Need Answering

This is the second documented concussion of Gray's career. He suffered his first in a collision with 49ers TE George Kittle last December and missed a game.

We'll see how long he's out this time, but players most commonly miss a single game after a concussion.

It's not yet clear who will fill in for Gray against the Jets. Tennessee drafted LB Anthony Hill Jr. in Round 2 but could turn to former Cardinal Owen Pappoe in the opener.

Gray's status boosts the IDP outlook for veteran LB Cody Barton, the only Titans off-ball LB you should now consider using in Week 1 fantasy lineups.

Gray's injury doesn't significantly alter the matchup for the Jets' offense.
