The Saints upset the Ravens in Week 2, but the RB split makes Travis Etienne a fantasy concern going forward. Alvin Kamara returned to the lineup after missing Week 1, and Kendre Miller was inactive. That didn’t seem to help Etienne, who had 8 rushes for 25 yards. Kamara had 9 carries for 15 yards and was most active in the passing game, catching 5 of 6 targets for 7 yards, while Etienne caught both his targets for 6 yards. It appears Etienne is set to split time no matter which other RBs are active.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
Etienne did have a two-point conversion, which may help boost his fantasy day a little bit, but it was concerning usage.
We now have two weeks of both Miller and Kamara matching Etienne in use. The one benefit for Etienne might be that he was much more effective than Kamara on the ground, but the team appears set to using a duo at RB.
Tyler Shough also takes rushes away from the RBs. He ran 9 times for 23 yards, including the game-winning TD.
Etienne may not be more than a TD-dependent flex play going forward until we see more commitment to making him a lead RB. The Saints have the Raiders, Falcons, and Vikings over the next three weeks.
