Jalen Hurts Headshot

Hurts struggled in a favorable projected matchup against a Bears passing defense that gave up 361 passing yards and 3 TDs to Bryce Young the week before last. He completed just 16 of 25 passes for 153 yards and an INT. Hurts salvaged the poor passing performance with 25 yards and a TD on the ground, finishing as a fringe QB2 in Week 3.

2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Passing Dip, Rushing Buffer

The Eagles QB has struggled as a passer, following their Week 3 loss he’s produced just 6.7 adjusted yards per attempt on the season. That mark ranks 25th among all QBs and would be the lowest of his career.

But Hurts is still producing as a QB1 through the first three weeks despite the passing woes.

The main reason is that he’s one of the highest-volume rushers at the QB position. His 18.9% carry share ranks 5th among all QBs and it’s still likely that he improves on the volume as he hasn’t been below a 20% carry share since his rookie season.

Hurts' next chance to rebound as a passer won’t be a favorable one, as he faces a Rams defense that has allowed the sixth-fewest passing yards this season. But his rushing production keeps his scoring floor high.
