Vikings WR Justin Jefferson remained limited in practice all week and entered Sunday questionable. But he looked like regular Justin Jefferson in the win over the Saints. The wideout led Minnesota in targets (7), receptions (6), and receiving yards (79), as well as catching the team's lone passing TD. That line came in his first full game with QB Kyler Murray. Tai Felton ranked second among Vikings WRs in targets and catches with just 3 and 2, respectively. he also ran six more routes than Jauan Jennings. The former Niner drew just 1 target and didn't catch it.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
Jefferson's TD came on a nice throw amid tight coverage in the back of the end zone in the second quarter.
Murray hit him for another nice combo of throw and catch down the right sideline. Both plays showed his trust in Minnesota's No. 1 wideout, as well as good ball placement.
It was an encouraging pair of throws for Jefferson's fantasy outlook, which has merely needed competent QB play -- nothing special -- thus far in his career.
The Vikings now get a Week 6 bye, which should only help ensure the readiness of Jefferson's ankle for the next contest.
After that bye come upside matchups with the Colts, Lions, Bills, and Packers across four straight weeks.
Overall, Minnesota gets the fourth-best WR schedule the rest of the way; even better, that schedule actually sits essentially tied for second.
Jefferson should be a no-brainer start going forward, barring any further issues with that ankle (or other injuries, of course).
