Elic Ayomanor Headshot

Titans WR Calvin Ridley missed Sunday's loss to the Browns with a hip injury. In his absence, WR Elic Ayomanor matched Carnell Tate for the position lead in snaps and ran just one fewer route to finish ahead of Wan'Dale Robinson.

Second-Year WR Gets Season-Best Work

That 90.9% route rate was Ayomanor's highest of the season and the second-highest of his career. He entered Sunday splitting work with Ridley at the outside spot opposite Tate, running 117 routes to Ridley's 101 through the first six games.

Ayomanor turned his increased role into 7 targets, matching Tate's lead against the Browns. Ayomanor caught three of those for 44 yards, including a 26-yard reception that was the team's longest since Week 4.

It marked the first time this season that Ayomanor had drawn more than 3 targets or topped 2 catches, and just the second time he has caught more than one pass in a game.

Unfortunately, It Probably Doesn't Matter

Of course, it's difficult to expect similar usage for Ayomanor once Ridley returns to health, and the veteran entered Sunday questionable.

Perhaps Tennessee finally decides at some point to move on from Ridley -- either by benching or release -- and commit to developing the young guy. But we'll have to watch for such a signal.

Even if Ayomanor gains a regular starting role, he'd remain unlikely to pass either Tate or Robinson in weekly target share -- in arguably the league's worst pass offense.

So there's little hope for Ayomanor's 2026 fantasy value. But he's an interesting deep stash for dynasty.

Situation Keeps Slot Man Irrelevant

Robinson, meanwhile, finished a second straight game with less than 23 receiving yards. He's working on a career-low 7.1 yards per catch, 4.8 yards per target, and 29.3 yards per game.

Robinson's 4.1 catches per game doesn't quite mark a career-low, but it trails well behind his 5.8 and 5.5 of the past two years.

His short-range game has always needed volume to support meaningful fantasy value, and that ain't coming in a pass offense ranked 25th in attempts and 27th in completions.

Robinson's cuttable in many fantasy leagues.
