Tony Pollard Headshot

Titans RB Tony Pollard followed his enormous Week 7 with a nearly-as-large Week 8. He rushed 21 times for 117 yards and 2 TDs in Sunday's OT loss to the Bengals, adding 20 yards on 3 catches among 5 targets.

Pollard Scores from Distance Again

Pollard accounted for 35% of his yardage and 35% of his fantasy scoring on a single 41-yard TD scamper.

That marked the second straight game in which Pollard scored from more than 30 yards out, which signals both some ability and some luck.

Before Week 7, though, Pollard didn't have a single run longer than 18 yards.

He had also averaged just 1.3 receptions per game through the first six contests before notching 3 catches each of the past two weeks.

2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Still Looks Like a Sell

Should a second straight strong outing make us start believing in Pollard? Cincinnati, after all, entered Sunday as the No. 7 defense in rush DVOA.

Still, Pollard entered Week 7 averaging just 14.5 carries, 58.2 rushing yards, 0.2 TDs.

Pollard's workload has benefited from Tyjae Spears' knee injury. After playing less than 60% of Tennessee's offensive snaps in each of the first five games, he went 75.6%, 74.2%, and 81.8% the past three weeks. Spears left the first of those contests early and then missed the past two.

Pollard has also garnered carry shares of more than 82% in four straight games now.

That aspect should remain strong even when Spears returns. Pollard's receptions could disappear, though.

Further complicating his outlook is the fact that Jacksonville awaits in two of the three games following Tennessee's Week 9 bye.

If Pollard doesn't get traded in the meantime, he'll face a defense that ranks first in run-defense DVOA and likely negative game script.

We called Pollard a "sell" in our most recent trade targets article. He should be an even more attractive asset now.
