Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (toe) is not listed on the final injury report. He only got in a limited practice on Friday, but we never sensed any concern about his status. The toe shouldn't be a factor in Sunday's game vs. the Vikings.

Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (toe) missed his 2nd straight practice on Thursday. He didn't seem worried about his Week 11 status when talking to reporters on Wednesday, but this has certainly become a situation to monitor. We'll get another update tomorrow.

Packers QB Aaron Rodgers did not practice on Wednesday and is on the injury report with a toe. "I'm definitely playing Sunday," Rodgers told reporters. "Today was a mental day so I think a number of us were either limited or DNPs. Thankful to get a day to just to do some rehab. See how the week plays out practice-wise, but definitely playing Sunday." We'll keep an eye on this, but it doesn't sound like we need to worry about Rodgers' status for Sunday's game vs. the Vikings.

The Packers have activated QB Aaron Rodgers from the COVID list, making him officially available for Sunday's game against the Seahawks. Green Bay also added Rodgers to the injury report with a toe issue, but he carries no game status. Rodgers might have tripped over 1 of the photographers chasing anyone who looks remotely like him (with a mask on) in public over the past week.

Packers QB Aaron Rodgers is set to be cleared from the COVID list and start Sunday's game vs. the Seahawks, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports. Rodgers hasn't logged an official practice since October 27 -- about 2-and-a-half weeks ago. He participated in meetings virtually throughout this week and will take part in Saturday's walkthrough. The missed time is less of a concern considering this is a 17-year veteran who's been in HC Matt LaFleur's offense since 2019.

Packers QB Aaron Rodgers has tested positive for COVID and will miss Sunday's game against the Chiefs, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. That will give Jordan Love the start. We'll see whether any other Packers follow Rodgers to this week's COVID list, as we saw with Allen Lazard behind Davante Adams last week.

Update: Rodgers is unvaccinated, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. That means Rodgers is out a minimum of 10 days. He's eligible but not guaranteed to be activated in time to play Week 10.

Packers WR Allen Lazard has joined WR Davante Adams on the COVID list. Both guys are virtual locks to miss Thursday night's game vs. the Cardinals. We'll see if Green Bay loses anyone else for that one. The Packers are currently down to WRs Randall Cobb, Equanimeous St. Brown and Amari Rodgers on the active roster. WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling is eligible to come off IR. WRs Juwann Winfree and Chris Blair are on the practice squad. RB Aaron Jones and TE Robert Tonyan figure to play big roles in the passing game on Thursday night.

The Packers are keeping LT David Bakhtiari on the PUP list to begin the regular season, as he continues to work back from a late-2020 ACL tear. We're not downgrading QB Aaron Rodgers or RB Aaron Jones on this news, but it'll be an area to watch early in the year. The move means Bakhtiari will miss at least the 1st 6 weeks.

WR Randall Cobb tweeted that he's been traded to the Packers, and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirms that the deal will be done once Green Bay gains cap space to make room. Cobb spent his first 8 seasons with QB Aaron Rodgers and the Packers, finishing as a top 30 fantasy WR 3 times (2012, 2014 and 2015). He posted a 55-828-3 line and WR42 PPR finish with the Cowboys in 2019. Then in Houston last year, Cobb tallied 38 catches, 441 yards and 3 scores in 10 games. He finished 60th in PPR points per game. But Cobb ranked a respectable 26th in yards per target, 52nd in yards per route run and 50th in Pro Football Focus receiving grade among 99 WRs with 40+ targets. Rodgers clearly had a big say in this move -- and we'd expect him to make sure Cobb is the starting slot receiver this season. That'll leave Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Allen Lazard and rookie Amari Rodgers fighting for the last spot in 3-WR sets. In Houston, meanwhile, Cobb's departure frees up the starting slot job. Consider newly acquired WR Anthony Miller the favorite to win that.

Packers QB Aaron Rodgers reported for the start of training camp on Tuesday. It's still unclear if he and the team have officially agreed to whatever deal they're reportedly working on. But it sure looks like he's committed to play in Green Bay for at least 1 more season. We've bumped Rodgers, WR Davante Adams and RB Aaron Jones up the rankings.

Following up on NFL Network's Ian Rapoport's story this morning, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Packers and QB Aaron Rodgers are "close" to working on a deal that would bring Rodgers back to Green Bay for the 2021 season. Per Schefter, the agreement would void the 2023 year in Rodgers' contract and ensure that the team reviews Rodgers' situation after this year. It essentially sounds like this would be his final season with the Packers. We'll continue to track this situation, but Rodgers and Green Bay's skill-position players look much safer to draft now than they did 12 hours ago.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that "Packers QB Aaron Rodgers has indicated to people close to him that he does plan to play for GB this season." We're still waiting for Rodgers to officially report to the team, but this is at least a positive sign. There will be risk to drafting Rodgers until he actually shows up, but his depressed ADP has also presented upside. He's QB11 in current FFPC best-ball drafting, coming off a QB3 fantasy finish.

Multiple Las Vegas sportsbooks believe Packers QB Aaron Rodgers will retire next week, according to Sports Illustrated's Bill Huber. Westgate SuperBook, for example, has taken down all its NFC North win totals and playoff odds. “Vegas oddsmakers tend to be pretty sharp," a source with knowledge of Rodgers' situation told Pro Football Talk. The thinking here is that Rodgers would "retire" until he was able to get out of Green Bay -- even if that wasn't until 2022. We'll continue to keep a close eye on this situation, but Rodgers carries lots of risk in fantasy drafts until this gets settled.

It was ugly for Packers QB Jordan Love last summer, according to almost all reports, and the team never felt comfortable enough to activate him as the #2 QB on game days. But he's looking better this year -- at least in shorts at OTAs this week. "He’s definitely matured over the course of the year,” HC Matt LaFleur said. “You can tell that he’s put in the time this offseason, not only just lifting and running and coming in in good football shape, but also you can tell he’s put in the time in his craft in trying to continue to work on his mechanics, his fundamentals that are so critical to playing the position at the highest level possible." And from RB Aaron Jones: “You can tell he’s just a lot more comfortable out there, even from communicating in the huddle to the command of the huddle to just everything. He’s had a year under his belt, he’s had time to watch and learn, so you can tell it’s a little bit different from what it was before. He’s going to continue to grow, and I’m happy to be here working with him.” Love will obviously be a downgrade if he's forced to take over for QB Aaron Rodgers this season -- but let's not assume he'll be a complete disaster.

The Packers finally added a WR for Aaron Rodgers, grabbing Clemson’s Amari Rodgers in Round 3. Rodgers’ college career was disrupted by a March 2019 torn ACL. He unbelievably made it back for the 2nd game of that season -- just about 6 months after the injury -- but was noticeably limited. He bounced back to set career highs across the board in 2020 with 77 catches, 1,020 yards and 7 scores. All 3 marks led the Tigers. The 5’10, 212-pounder is at his best after the catch, with good vision, enough wiggle and strong contact balance. The concerns: he doesn’t create a lot of separation, has a small catch radius and is subpar in contested situations. Rodgers tested as an average athlete at Clemson’s Pro Day, including a 4.52-second 40 time. There was some pre-draft talk about him moving to RB, but the Packers announced him as a WR. Rodgers doesn’t look like a difference-maker in the NFL, but this is a solid landing spot as long as Aaron Rodgers sticks around. Amari has a chance to win the slot receiver job right out of the gate.

Packers GM Brian Gutekunst didn't mince words when discussing the Aaron Rodgers situation on Thursday night. "No, we’re not going to trade Aaron Rodgers," Gutekunst said. "He's our quarterback. He's our leader. We've been working through this for a little while now. I just think it might take some time. But he's the guy that makes this thing go." We'll continue to keep a close eye on this, but Rodgers seems less likely to be dealt this year with the 1st round of the draft behind us.

Packers QB Aaron Rodgers is "disgruntled" with the organization and has told some that he doesn't want to return to the team, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. It seemed like this relationship had been mended, but Rodgers is reportedly still upset about Green Bay's decision to take QB Jordan Love in the 1st round of last year's draft. "As we've stated since the season ended, we are committed to Aaron in 2021 and beyond," GM Brian Gutekunst told ESPN. "Aaron has been a vital part of our success and we look forward to competing for another championship with him leading our team." We'll see where this goes. The 49ers reportedly called the Packers on Wednesday night to inquire about Rodgers' availability but were turned away.

Update: NFL Network's Ian Rapoport adds that Rodgers' discontent stems from an inability for him and the Packers to agree on a new long-term contract. "No deal is done, and he’s not happy now," Rapoport adds.
