ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that LB Anthony Walker is signing a 1-year, $3.5 million deal with the Browns. That's not necessarily starter money, but Walker should compete for starter-level playing time in a shaky and unproven Cleveland LB corps. Walker was a solid player for the Colts, though he's coming off his worst overall Pro Football Focus grade through 4 seasons (by far). Walker also ceded the #2 LB role to Bobby Okereke in 2020. We'll see how the Browns' group shakes out.
Colts LB Bobby Okereke (ankle) is active for today's game against the Raiders. He remained limited throughout the practice week, so Okereke is still a high-risk IDP option. His return, though, also adds risk to the playing time of LB Anthony Walker.
Colts LB Bobby Okereke (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Raiders. Okereke put in limited practices all week after sitting out all of the previous 2 weeks. Even if he's active, though, Okreke will be a risky IDP option. If Okereke does return, he'll add risk to Anthony Walker. A healthy Okereke has been Indy's #2 LB over Walker this season.
Colts LB Anthony Walker (ribs) and S Khari Willis (ribs, shoulder) are active for today's game against the Titans. Neither is a high-level IDP option, but they're in play for deeper leagues. Walker should gain playing time with LB Bobby Okereke out (ankle).
The Colts have ruled LB Bobby Okereke (ankle) out for Sunday's game against the Titans. LB Anthony Walker (ribs) and S Khari Willis (ribs, shoulder) are questionable. We'll update their status Sunday morning.
Colts LB Darius Leonard and DE Justin Houston carry no injury designation into Sunday's game against the Lions. Leonard hasn't played since Week 4 because of a groin injury but put in a pair of full practices to close out the week. Houston played in Indy's last game but was clearly limited by a hip injury. That issue didn't even show up on this week's injury report, though. Both look ready for normal usage in IDP lineups. Leonard's return figures to lower the playing time for at least 1 of the Colts' other LBs. Anthony Walker sat 3rd in that line before Leonard went down.
Colts LB Anthony Walker (ankle) is active for today's game against the Browns. He'll carry some re-injury risk but also tackle upside against the run-favoring Cleveland offense.
The Colts have ruled LB Darius Leonard (groin) out for Sunday's game against the Browns. LB Anthony Walker is questionable with an ankle injury that arose during the practice week. He sat out Thursday before putting in a limited Friday. We'll check his status Sunday afternoon. Colts LB Bobby Okereke -- who opened the week not practicing because of a thumb injury -- was off the injury report by the end of the week after full workouts Thursday and Friday. He's the best IDP bet among Colts LBs this week.
Colts LB Bobby Okereke underwent thumb surgery Monday for an injury suffered in Sunday's win over the Bears. We'll see whether he can rebound in time to play against the Browns this Sunday. If Okereke doesn't go, Indy will choose among Zaire Franklin, Jordan Glasgow and E.J. Speed to fill in. The crowd in contention makes it an IDP situation worth steering away from. This injury plus Darius Leonard's groin injury add value to LB Anthony Walker on waivers. We'll keep an eye on practice reports for Colts LBs this week.
Colts LB Darius Leonard left in the 1st half of Sunday's win over the Bears with a groin injury and did not return. We'll see about his status heading into Week 5. Anthony Walker and Bobby Okereke finished out the Week 4 contest as the full-time LBs, tallying 11 and 8 tackles, respectively. Each would be in play for IDP lineups if Leonard misses further time.
The Colts have ruled LB Darius Leonard (concussion) out for Sunday's game against the Chiefs. It'll be his 3rd straight game missed. LB Anthony Walker (shoulder) is also questionable for the game. Walker didn't miss any practice this week and wasn't even listed on the injury report until Friday -- when he put in a full workout. We'd have to bet on him playing, but the status obviously means we'll need to check the Sunday night inactives.
Colts HC Frank Reich said MLB Darius Leonard will put in a limited practice Wednesday, according to Stephen Holder of The Athletic. There's no word yet on Leonard clearing the concussion protocol, but this progress bodes well for his potential Week 5 return. If Leonard is ready for Sunday's game at Kansas City, then LB Anthony Walker would likely return to playing about half the snaps and not being a big IDP help.
The Colts have ruled MLB Darius Leonard out for Sunday's game against the Falcons because of his concussion. Rookie Bobby Okereke expects to see increased playing time in Leonard's absence. LB Anthony Walker will likely lead the group in snaps.
Colts LB Anthony Walker (shoulder) is inactive for today's game against the Giants. S Mike Mitchell (calf) is active after hitting the day questionable. He should start in place of the inactive S Clayton Geathers. Mitchell is an option but will carry risk for IDP owners.
Colts MLB Anthony Walker left Thursday night's game against the Patriots with a concussion. He'll need to pass through the league protocol before returning to action. Indy promoted rookie Skai Moore from the practice squad earlier Thursday. He might be in the mix for a start if Walker and/or Darius Leonard (ankle) remains out into Week 6.
