The Seahawks on Thursday terminated the contract of WR Doug Baldwin on the grounds of a failed physical. The veteran wideout has undergone 3 surgeries since the end of the season, and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports this is "likely the end of the road" for Baldwin. His departure leaves Seattle without its target leader for each of the past 5 seasons. Tyler Lockett and the rest of the crew stand to benefit in a low-volume pass offense. Rookies D.K. Metcalf and Gary Jennings gain redraft interest, and the TE competition could be worth watching this summer.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin might be forced to retire. Baldwin missed 3 games in 2018, then underwent offseason surgeries on his groin and shoulder. Now 30, Baldwin has been in the league since 2011. Seattle added some insurance in Round 2 with the selection of Ole Miss WR D.K. Metcalf.

Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin will have sports hernia surgery in April, according to multiple reports. And that might not be all for this offseason. When asked whether this would be Baldwin's last operation of 2019, HC Pete Carroll told the Seattle Times: "I don't know that conclusively. Still working on some stuff." Baldwin's obviously a big question mark for anyone drafting best-ball teams right now. He's a risk anywhere in the single-digit rounds. Carroll said there's no timetable on Baldwin's return. We'll see whether the Seahawks address the position in the NFL Draft.

Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin revealed in a radio appearance on Wednesday that he expects to have another surgery this offseason. NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports that Baldwin is scheduled to visit Dr. William Meyers about a potential sports hernia surgery. That'd be in addition to the knee and shoulder surgeries he had earlier this offseason. Turning 31 in September, Baldwin's body might be starting to fail him. He'll be worth monitoring closely this summer.

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll revealed from the Combine on Thursday that WR Doug Baldwin recently had surgeries on his knee and shoulder. Baldwin was banged up all last season, starting with a left knee issue when he arrived at training camp, then a sprained right MCL in Week 1 and finally a hip injury in Week 13. We don't have any details yet on the knee and shoulder procedures, but Carroll said Baldwin "should be fine" for the start of the 2019 campaign. If healthy, he'll be a solid bounce-back candidate.

Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (hip) is active for today’s game against the 49ers. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday, but don’t expect him to be at 100% today. Baldwin is just a low-end WR3.

Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (hip) is expected to play against the 49ers today. He's listed as questionable after limited practices on Thursday and Friday. Baldwin is just a low-end WR3 at less than 100%.

Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (hip) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game against the 49ers. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. “Doug did really well,” HC Pete Carroll said after Friday's workout. “He practiced, made it through it today. He did fine. It looks like he’s playing.” At less than 100% and in Seattle's run-heavy offense, Baldwin is no better than a WR3.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that the Chiefs believe CB Kendall Fuller suffered a wrist fracture in Thursday night's loss to the Chargers that will require surgery. That likely means Fuller is done for the season, which would leave the K.C. defense without its slot corner. That'd be good news for Seahawks slot WR Doug Baldwin in Week 16 if he's ready for the teams' showdown.

Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (hip) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. That gives him a shot to play against the 49ers this weekend, but we'll see what he's able to do in Friday's practice.

Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (hip) did not practice on Wednesday. HC Pete Carroll did say that Baldwin participated in the walkthrough and is "day-to-day." Still, he seems no better than 50/50 to play against the 49ers this weekend. We'll get another update tomorrow.

Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (hip) is inactive for tonight's game against the Vikings. That leaves Tyler Lockett and David Moore as Seattle's top 2 WRs. Lockett was already a fantasy starter. Moore jumps into WR3 range now and is an upside DFS play.

ESPN's Adam Schefter asked a Seahawks source if WR Doug Baldwin (hip) will play against the Vikings tonight and got this reply: "I wouldn’t think so, but you never know with Doug. I’m sure he will try.” A final decision on Baldwin might not be made until pregame warmups, but fantasy owners shouldn't be planning on having him. Baldwin's absence would give WRs Tyler Lockett and David Moore nice target boosts.

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll labeled WR Doug Baldwin (hip) a game-time decision for Monday night's tilt with the Vikings. Carroll also said that Baldwin's hip injury is related to his previous groin issue. The late kickoff obviously puts fantasy owners in a tough spot. You need to have a viable alternative if you're hoping to use Baldwin -- and the only one potentially available would be David Moore. Even if Baldwin ends up active, he'll be a risky WR3.

Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (hip) has yet to practice this week. He's been sitting out a bunch of practices this year but hasn't missed a game since Week 3. We'll see if he gets on the field on Saturday, but we're still expecting Baldwin to play against the Vikings on Monday night.

Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (groin) isn’t listed on the final Week 13 injury report. He’s fine to get into fantasy lineups as a high-floor WR3. Baldwin has caught 5+ balls in 3 straight.

Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (knee) is active for today’s game against the Cardinals. He’s been sidelined since suffering a Grade 2 torn MCL in the season opener. Baldwin missed all of August with trouble with the opposite knee. It’s unclear if he’s ready for a full workload today, making him a risk/reward fantasy play.

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll said Friday that WR Doug Baldwin (knee) will play against the Cardinals this weekend. "He looked great [in practice]," Carroll said. "He was explosive. The suddenness that we have come to love in his play was there. He caught the ball great." Baldwin has been sidelined since Week 1 and was limited in practice this week, so it's unclear if he'll be a full-go on Sunday. Consider him a risk/reward WR3 for Week 4. Baldwin's return is a nice boost for QB Russell Wilson.
