Aaron Jones Gets In Limited Practice Wednesday

        1:15am UTC 12/4/25

Vikings RB Aaron Jones (shoulder) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. He's seemingly gearing up to play vs. the Commanders this weekend, but we'll keep tabs on his status over the next few days. A healthy Jones has operated as Minnesota's clear lead back lately, so he'll be the best fantasy bet in this backfield if he suits up. But this shoulder injury will add risk to his fantasy profile.

Aaron Jones' Shoulder Injury Not Believed To Be Serious

        7:01pm UTC 12/1/25

The Vikings do not believe the shoulder injury that knocked RB Aaron Jones from Sunday's game vs. the Seahawks is serious, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. "He is likely to be considered day-to-day," Schefter adds. It sounds like Jones has a chance to play vs. the Commanders this weekend, but we'll keep a close eye on his status. Jones' absence would Jordan Mason into a fantasy RB2. He averaged 15.0 carries, 1.8 targets, and 75.3 total yards in the four games Jones missed earlier this season.

        Aaron Jones Hurts Left Shoulder

        11:14pm UTC 11/30/25

Vikings RB Aaron Jones suffered a left shoulder injury in the third quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Seahawks and is questionable to return. Jones took a big hit and was in obvious pain on the sidelines, so we don't expect to see him back out there. We'll update his status when we know more. Jordan Mason will take over as Minnesota's lead back.

Aaron Jones Still Leads Backfield; Offense Just Stinks

        4:57pm UTC 11/24/25

Vikings RB Aaron Jones endured a quiet Sunday at Green Bay, running for 41 yards on nine carries while adding 16 yards on 3 catches among four targets. Minnesota managed just 22:45 in time of possession for the loss, trailing the Packers by 14.5 minutes. Jordan Mason beat Jones by a yard on the ground despite logging one fewer carry. He didn't see a target.

Jordan Mason TD Obscures More Aaron Jones Backfield Domination

        11:19pm UTC 11/16/25

Vikings RB Jordan Mason ran for a 16-yard TD early in the fourth quarter of Sunday's loss to the Bears. But he ran just five other times in a game that found Aaron Jones dominating backfield work for the second straight week. Mason totaled 45 yards on six rushes, with no targets in the passing game. Jones tallied 70 rushing yards on 16 carries, adding 3 receptions for 11 yards on six targets.

Aaron Jones Dominates Backfield Work on Light Rushing Day

        12:17am UTC 11/10/25

Vikings RB Aaron Jones rushed for 47 yards as a TD on a team-high nine carries in Sunday's loss to the Ravens. He added 3 receptions for 22 yards among six targets, tying for third on the team in looks. Jones logged half the team's total rushing attempts in a game that found Minnesota pass on more than two-thirds of offensive plays. Jordan Mason rushed a mere four times for 25 yards and caught his lone target for 6 yards.

        Aaron Jones Active

        4:31pm UTC 11/9/25

Vikings RB Aaron Jones (shoulder, toe) is active for today’s game vs. the Ravens. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday and was listed as questionable. Jones won’t be at 100% for this one, but he easily led RB Jordan Mason in playing time and touches before exiting last week’s game. Consider Jones a risk/reward Week 10 fantasy play. Mason is no better than a RB3 or Flex.

Aaron Jones Expected To Play Week 10

        6:49pm UTC 11/8/25

Vikings RB Aaron Jones (shoulder, toe) is expected to play vs. the Ravens tomorrow, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. Jones got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday and is listed as questionable, so it's safe to assume that he'll be playing at less than 100%. Jones played well ahead of RB Jordan Mason before exiting last week's game, though, tallying seven carries and two targets in the first half to Mason's two carries and one target. Consider Jones a risk/reward Week 10 fantasy play. Mason is no better than a RB3 or Flex.

Aaron Jones Questionable For Week 10

        8:53pm UTC 11/7/25

Vikings RB Aaron Jones (shoulder, toe) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Ravens. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. "I do feel good," Jones said Friday. "Continue to take it each day. I still have two days, so I feel like I'll be in a good spot." We’re tentatively expecting Jones to suit up but will look for further updates on his status. Jones’ absence would put RB Jordan Mason back into a clear lead role.

Aaron Jones Out Wednesday With Shoulder And Toe Injuries

        2:24am UTC 11/6/25

Vikings RB Aaron Jones did not practice on Wednesday and is on the injury report with shoulder and toe issues. He was knocked out of last week's game with the shoulder, but we haven't heard anything about the toe. Jones' availability for this weekend's game vs. the Ravens is uncertain. His absence would make RB Jordan Mason a useable-if-unexciting fantasy option. We'll see if Jones gets back on the field tomorrow.

"Positive News" On Aaron Jones' Shoulder

        7:25pm UTC 11/3/25

Vikings HC Kevin O'Connell said Monday that the team has gotten "positive news early" on RB Aaron Jones' shoulder injury. O'Connell added that Jones is sore but will hopefully be able to ramp up his activity throughout the week. He sounds genuinely uncertain for Sunday's game vs. the Ravens. Jones was playing well ahead of RB Jordan Mason before going down this past week and will be the better fantasy bet if he plays against Baltimore. If not, Mason will be back in the lower-end RB2 mix.

Aaron Jones Jr. Resurrects His Fantasy Life But Still Shows Red Flags

        4:44am UTC 11/3/25

Vikings RB Aaron Jones went 9-78-0 on the ground while hauling in both his targets for 20 yards. Though he didn’t score a TD, Jones’ 8.7 yards per carry offers a glimmer of hope for his fantasy future. But that was propped up a bit by a 31-yard scamper. Unfortunately, his split with Jordan Mason continues to crush both players’ fantasy values. Mason went 10-36-0 on the ground, catching his only target for a yard.

        Vikings Committee Backfield Goes Nowhere

        3:10pm UTC 10/24/25

Vikings RB Aaron Jones returned from his hamstring injury for Thursday night's game vs. the Chargers and worked in a committee with RB Jordan Mason. Neither guy got anything going. Jones carried five times for 15 yards, while Mason mustered three yards on four carries. The Vikings fell behind by 14 early in the second quarter and trailed by double digits the rest of the game. And they ran only 47 plays, so there wasn't much volume to go around. But neither RB found any room to run. RB Zavier Scott wound up leading the team with 16 rushing yards -- with all of that coming on two carries in a pure garbage-time possession at the end of the game.

Aaron Jones Expected To Play Week 8

        5:34pm UTC 10/23/25

Vikings RB Aaron Jones (hamstring) is expected to play vs. the Chargers tonight, according to Amazon's Kirk Herbstreit. Jones has been out since Week 2, was just designated to return from IR earlier this week, and got in only two limited practices. We'd be surprised if he played a big role tonight and would try to not use him in Week 8 fantasy lineups. But Jones' return certainly dings RB Jordan Mason's value. He's still a good bet to lead Minnesota in carries tonight but figures to cede passing-down work to Jones.

Aaron Jones Questionable For Week 8

        12:21am UTC 10/23/25

Vikings RB Aaron Jones (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Thursday night's game vs. the Chargers. He got in limited practices on Tuesday and Wednesday. We'd be a little surprised if Minnesota brought Jones back on a short week off a five-week absence. But we'll see if he's activated from the IR on Thursday afternoon. Jones wouldn't be a recommended Week 8 fantasy starter if he plays, but it'd certainly be a hit to RB Jordan Mason.

Vikings RB Aaron Jones (hamstring) has been designated to return from IR. He'll practice on Tuesday, although it remains unclear if he'll play vs. the Chargers on Thursday night. Phew! TD Saves Jordan Mason's Week 7

        10:51pm UTC 10/19/25

Vikings RB Jordan Mason needed a 1-yard TD late in the third quarter to save what otherwise would have been a fantasy dud against a Philadelphia defense that has appeared league average so far this season. Mason rushed 15 times for 57 yards (3.8 yards per carry) and drew no targets in Sunday's loss to the Eagles.
