Dolphins GM Jon-Eric Sullivan said the team plans to build the offense around newly signed QB Malik Willis, according to ESPN’s Marcel Louis-Jacques. RB De’Von Achane will remain a foundational piece, but Sullivan labeled Willis “an ascending player.”

The Dolphins are signing QB Malik Willis to a 3-year, $67.5 million deal with $45 million guaranteed, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Willis' $22.5 million average annual salary ranks 21st among QBs. It's a reasonable deal for an unproven player who carries a wide range of outcomes.

It's his second documented concussion, with the first coming at Utah State in 2018. QB Malik Willis will finish out this game and might also start Week 17's game vs. the Ravens.
