The Bills have agreed to a 4-year, $44 million extension with LB Matt Milano, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The deal includes $24 million guaranteed. It obviously locks Milano in as a full-timer for at least the next couple of seasons. Milano struggled through hamstring and pectoral injuries last season that limited him to just 3 games of at least 50% playing time. It's particularly telling that Buffalo paid up in spite of that. Milano carries top-20 IDP scoring upside at his position.
The Bills have activated LB Matt Milano from IR (pectoral) and plan to play him against the 49ers tonight. Coaches haven't revealed details on his role, though. HC Sean McDermott pointed out early in the week that A.J. Klein has been the one playing while Milano has missed weeks. That sounds like a coach hesitant to return even a healthy Milano to full playing time. It's also worth noting that MLB Tremaine Edmunds has scored poorest among Bills LBs across the board in Pro Football Focus grading. Klein, meanwhile, holds a higher coverage grade than even Milano right now and rates among the team's best pass-rushers. If you've been planning to use Klein in your Week 13 IDP lineup, we'd stick with him. We'll see about the role tonight for Milano, who also played limited snaps the 2 games before landing on IR while trying to manage the injury.
The Bills have ruled LB Matt Milano out for Sunday's game against the Seahawks, Sal Capaccio of WGR 550 reports. Milano played a limited role each of the past 2 weeks because of a pectoral injury that cost him the previous 2 games. This week's change at least keeps us from having to guess at how to treat Milano in IDP lineups. A.J. Klein has been the 2nd Bills LB in playing time when Milano has missed time (behind MLB Tremaine Edmunds).
Bills S Micah Hyde (concussion) is inactive for today's game against the Patriots. LB Matt Milano (pec) is active but could still see his role limited. DE Jerry Hughes (foot) and DT Quinton Jefferson (knee) are active as well.
Bills S Micah Hyde (concussion), DE Jerry Hughes (foot), LB Matt Milano (pec) and DT Quinton Jefferson (knee) are all questionable for Sunday's game against the Patriots. Hyde looks unlikely to play after missing practice all week. Hughes and Jefferson each put in a full practice Friday and looks likely to be available. Milano played through a questionable tag last week and continued to practice on a limited basis this week. He played just a fraction of his normal role in Week 7, though. We have to assume he won't be back to full playing time this week.
Bills LB Matt Milano and CB Tre'Davious White are active for today's game against the Jets. Milano had missed the past 2 games with a pectoral injury but looks good to go for IDP lineups. White's back issue popped up during the week, so we'll see if it affects his playing time today. But White looks ready to go if you were planning to play him in your IDP lineup. The team defense only becomes a stronger fantasy play with 2 key starters in the lineup.
Bills LB Matt Milano (pec) and CB Tre'Davious White (back) are questionable for Sunday's game against the Jets. White played through a questionable tag last week. But after not showing up on the Wednesday injury report, he was limited Thursday and then sat out Friday. We wouldn't be surprised to see him sit out this game. Milano missed his 2nd straight game last week despite mixing in a full Thursday practice between 2 limited workouts. He spent all 3 days limited this week. We'll update the status for both players Sunday morning. If Milano can't go, A.J. Klein would see full playing time. He played 88% of the snaps against Kansas City, tallying 7 tackles and a forced fumble. White's backup is Siran Neal. Buffalo will also miss CB Josh Norman, who suffered a hamstring injury Thursday. Levi Wallace, the season-opening starter opposite White, is already on short-term IR.
Bills LB Matt Milano (pec) is inactive for the 2nd straight game tonight against the Chiefs. Tyrel Dodson should start in his place. Dodson played 91% of the snaps vs. Tennessee in Week 5, with Milano out. Bills CB Tre'Davious White (back) is active. He finished the week with a pair of full practices and should be good to go for IDP lineups.
Bills LB Matt Milano (pec) is questionable for Monday's game against the Chiefs. He practiced all week, though, sandwiching a full Friday workout between 2 limited practices. We'd bet on him playing. If Milano does sit, A.J. Klein would likely elevate to full playing time.
Bills HC Sean McDermott has called LB Matt Milano (pectoral) and CB Levi Wallace (ankle) "week to week" with injuries they suffered in Sunday's win over the Raiders. That indicates each starter has a decent chance to miss Sunday's game at Tennessee. Make sure you plan for IDP alternatives.
Bills MLB Tremaine Edmunds (shoulder) and OLB Matt Milano (hamstring) are active for today’s game against the Rams. Milano graduated to a full Friday practice and looks worth the risk for IDP lineups. Edmunds spent all week limited for the 2nd straight week. He still carries plenty of upside to be worth a shot for most IDP lineups, though
Bills LBs Matt Milano (hamstring) and Tremaine Edmunds (shoulder) are questionable for Sunday's game against the Rams. Each LB put in limited practices all week after missing Week 2. We'll check their statuses Sunday morning.
Bills MLB Tremaine Edmunds (shoulder) and OLB Matt Milano (hamstring) put in limited practices Wednesday and Thursday. Both players missed the Week 2 win at Miami. We'll see if they're ready for this Sunday's game against the Rams. Milano sat out practice all last week, while Edmunds was a limited participant all 3 days. CB Tre'Davious White (shoulder) opened this week limited and wearing a red, non-contact jersey. But he returned to full participation Thursday. DT Ed Oliver (knee) also improved from no practice Wednesday to a limited Thursday. He returned to the Week 2 game after leaving with the knee issue.
The Bills have ruled out MLB Tremaine Edmunds (shoulder) and OLB Matt Milano (hamstring) for Sunday's game in Miami, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. That elevates strong-side starter A.J. Klein to a full-time role and pushes Tyrel Dodson into Edmunds' starting spot. Each carries sleeper potential for deeper IDP leagues this week.
Bills MLB Tremaine Edmunds (shoulder) put in a limited practice for the 2nd straight day Thursday. We had previously seen him as sitting out Wednesday, but Buffalo's official injury report has Edmunds limited in each practice so far. That's obviously good news for his chances of playing Sunday against Miami. LB Matt Milano, however, missed his 2nd straight practice Thursday with a hamstring injury. Milano looks like he's trending toward missing Week 2. Frankly, he'd look like a risky IDP option even if he makes it back for a limited Friday workout. LB A.J. Klein would likely see full playing time if Milano is inactive.
Bills LBs Tremaine Edmunds (shoulder) and Matt Milano (hamstring) each missed practice Wednesday. Both players left Sunday's win over the Jets early and could be in jeopardy of missing this Sunday's visit to Miami. We'll watch their participation over the next 2 days. A.J. Klein -- the strong-side starter -- and Tyrel Dodson would benefit most in playing time if Edmunds and/or Milano can't go.
Bills MLB Tremaine Edmunds (shoulder) and weak-side LB Matt Milano (hamstring) each left in the 3rd quarter of Sunday's win over the Jets. We'll see about the status of each starter heading into Week 2.
Bills LB Matt Milano (hamstring) is active for today’s game against the Eagles. He entered the day as a game-time decision. That makes him still a risky IDP option. We’d try to lean elsewhere if you can.
Bills LB Matt Milano (hamstring) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Eagles. Milano missed last week's game after putting in limited practices all week. He remained limited throughout this week. We'll see about his status Sunday morning.
