The Bills have ruled S Micah Hyde (neck), CB Dane Jackson (neck), DT Jordan Phillips (hamstring) and Ed Oliver (ankle) out for Sunday's game in Miami. S Jordan Poyer (foot) is also questionable. That's a large chunk of the starting defense and could soften the matchup for Miami offensive players. You should already have been planning to start Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, though. The injuries give a slight boost to QB Tua Tagovailoa, who we've had on the fringe of starter territory in our QB rankings. We'll check Poyer's status Sunday morning.

We'd bet on neither playing this week but will keep an eye on the situation. S Jordan Poyer was limited with a foot injury. Bills MLB Tremaine Edmunds (shoulder) and OLB Matt Milano (hamstring) put in limited practices Wednesday and Thursday. Both players missed the Week 2 win at Miami. We'll see if they're ready for this Sunday's game against the Rams. Milano sat out practice all last week, while Edmunds was a limited participant all 3 days. CB Tre'Davious White (shoulder) opened this week limited and wearing a red, non-contact jersey. But he returned to full participation Thursday. DT Ed Oliver (knee) also improved from no practice Wednesday to a limited Thursday. He returned to the Week 2 game after leaving with the knee issue.

The Bills spent the 9th overall pick in the NFL Draft on DT Ed Oliver. The former Houston DT could fight for a starting job next to Star Lotulelei or at least join a rotation right away. Oliver enjoyed a wildly productive college career, starting with 22 tackles for loss in his freshman season. He tallied another 16.5 and 14.5 tackles for loss the past 2 years. Oliver also tallied 11 career passes defensed and 192 total tackles. He'll be a high-upside selection for dynasty fantasy football leagues with DT slots.
