Ed Oliver Done for Season with Biceps Tear

Bills DT Ed Oliver suffered a torn left biceps in Sunday's win over the Panthers. Testing Monday confirmed the injury, according to multiple sources. Oliver will have surgery and miss the rest of the season. The 27-year-old -- he turns 28 in December -- has two more years remaining on his contract.

Ed Oliver Still Out; Matt Milano Active

Bills DT Ed Oliver (ankle) is inactive for tonight's game against the Patriots. LB Matt Milano is active, though. Milano missed the past two games with a pectoral injury but should get back to his normal role. Oliver was questionable after putting in limited practices all week. That should make him a solid bet to return in Week 6, especially with a bye week to rest the ankle after that.

Taron Johnson Questionable; Ed Oliver Out

Bills CB Taron Johnson is questionable for Monday night's game against the Jets. Joe Buscaglia of the athletic says "the long wait for [Johnson's] return looks like it will end on Monday night." Johnson -- out since Week 1 with a forearm fracture -- practiced without his non-contact jersey for the first time Thursday but remained limited all three days. We'll check his status head of Monday night's kick. Buffalo has ruled DT Ed Oliver (hamstring) out for the game.

Safety, CB, 2 DTs out vs. Dolphins

The Bills have ruled S Micah Hyde (neck), CB Dane Jackson (neck), DT Jordan Phillips (hamstring) and Ed Oliver (ankle) out for Sunday's game in Miami. S Jordan Poyer (foot) is also questionable. That's a large chunk of the starting defense and could soften the matchup for Miami offensive players. You should already have been planning to start Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, though. The injuries give a slight boost to QB Tua Tagovailoa, who we've had on the fringe of starter territory in our QB rankings. We'll check Poyer's status Sunday morning.

3 starting CBs dealing with injuries

Bills S Micah Hyde and CB Dane Jackson missed practice Wednesday. Both players left Monday night's game with neck injuries that sent them to the hospital that night. We'd bet on neither playing this week but will keep an eye on the situation. S Jordan Poyer was limited with a foot injury. DT Jordan Phillips (hamstring) also missed practice, while DT Ed Oliver (ankle) returned to a limited practice after missing all last week.
