The Saints signed WR Michael Floyd on Tuesday. This would have been big fantasy news a few years ago. Now it's barely worth mentioning. Floyd has totaled just 47 catches across the past 2 seasons, including 10 with the Vikings last year. He'll battle for the #5 WR spot in New Orleans behind Michael Thomas, Cameron Meredith, Ted Ginn and Tre'Quan Smith. Even if he wins that spot, Floyd would need a couple of injuries ahead of him on the depth chart to have a shot at fantasy relevance.

Vikings insider Ben Goessling expects WR Michael Floyd to have a "sizable role" this year. That, of course, would be after he serves his 4-game suspension to open the season. Floyd got reps with the 1st-team offense this past week with Laquon Treadwell sidelined with a minor injury. “[He’s looked] pretty dang good,” HC Mike Zimmer said. “He’s made probably the most contested of anybody in the camp. He’s a big, physical body, which helps in the run game, and I think he’s done a nice job in the routes. Some of the routes, he’s a little faster than he looks.” There's some opportunity in Minnesota behind WR Stefon Diggs, but that suspension makes Floyd not worth drafting. We'll see if he emerges as a waiver-wire target in Week 5 and beyond.

Vikings WR Michael Floyd has been suspended 4 games for violating the league's substance abuse policy. He was popped for DUI in December and then violated the terms of his house arrest when he tested positive for alcohol in June. We'll see whether Minnesota opts to hang on to him, but Floyd has dropped clear off the redraft radar. Stefon Diggs, Adam Thielen and Laquon Treadwell will open the season as the Vikings' top 3 WRs.

Vikings WR Michael Floyd was sentenced to 1 day in jail for violating terms of his probation. He reportedly failed 5 alcohol tests over a 2-day span in June -- after being arrested for DUI back in December. The Vikings are sticking by Floyd, though. "We believe Michael will be a productive member of the organization, both on and off the field," GM Rick Spielman said in a statement. "... We expect him to be with the team at the start of training camp in Mankato when the players report on July 26." Floyd is likely looking at a suspension from the league and is still off the fantasy radar for now.

Vikings WR Michael Floyd tested positive for alcohol last week, according to TMZ Sports. Floyd, of course, is under house arrest and not allowed to drink after his December DUI arrest. He could now face jail time for the violation. We'll see whether the Vikings decide to hang on to him.

The Vikings signed WR Michael Floyd to a 1-year deal worth $1.5 million. He can reach $6 million total with incentives, per ESPN. Floyd completely tanked on the field in 2016 and was cut from the Cardinals after he was arrested in December for DUI. The 27-year-old ended up serving jail time, and it’s quite possible he’ll receive further discipline from the league. Floyd’s also currently under house arrest and won’t be able to join the Vikings until after June minicamps. In Minnesota, he’ll battle Adam Thielen and Laquon Treadwell for snaps behind #1 Stefon Diggs. The Vikings just drafted a pair of WRs, too (Rodney Adams and Stacy Coley).

Free agent WR Michael Floyd pled guilty to 1 count of extreme DUI and was sentenced to 120 days of jail. Just 24 of those will be served in an actual prison, with the other 96 home detention. It's all lost training time for the 27-year-old, though. Between the legal issue and a disastrous 2016 season, Floyd will likely need to settle for a 1-year deal on the open market.

Patriots WRs Chris Hogan (thigh) and Malcolm Mitchell (knee) are active for tonight's AFC Championship against the Steelers. WR Michael Floyd is a healthy scratch, leaving Danny Amendola as the #4 WR.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Patriots WR Malcolm Mitchell (knee) won't play against the Texans tonight. That figures to leave Chris Hogan as the #2 WR alongside JulIan Edelman. We're betting on WR Michael Floyd playing the 3rd most snaps, with Danny Amendola as the #4 WR.

Patriots WR Malcolm Mitchell (knee) didn’t practice all week and is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Dolphins. He tweaked the knee last week that he’s had 3 surgeries on. His status for the postseason is unclear. Mitchell’s absence will leave Julian Edelman, Chris Hogan and Michael Floyd as New England’s top 3 WRs.

The Patriots claimed WR Michael Floyd on waivers. If there's a team that can get Floyd's career turned around, it's the Pats. He won't make a fantasy impact this season, but we'll be curious to see if New England signs him to a deal before he hits free agency in March.

The Cardinals have released WR Michael Floyd. It's a fitting end to a disastrous contract season. Floyd dropped too many passes, tallied just 446 yards and was arrested for DUI earlier this week. He's still only 27 with a 6'2 frame and a 1,000-yard season on his resume, so work won't be hard to find. J.J. Nelson figures to operate as Arizona's #2 WR the rest of the way. He's a boom/bust WR3 for this Sunday's game against the Saints.

Cardinals HC Bruce Arians said Tuesday that he's checking the CBA for disciplinary options for WR Michael Floyd and might just bench him this weekend. Floyd was arrested and charged with DUI on Monday morning. He obviously shouldn't be in your Week 15 fantasy plans. If he ends up inactive, J.J. Nelson figures to assume #2 WR duties in a plus matchup against the Saints. WR John Brown remains limited by his sickle-cell related leg issues.

Cardinals WR Michael Floyd was arrested and charged with DUI early Monday morning. He was reportedly found asleep at the wheel of his car. On top of the DUI, he's also charged with obstructing a roadway and failure to obey a police officer. This is Floyd's 2nd drunk-driving arrested after he was popped for DUI while at Notre Dame back in 2011. He's likely looking at a suspension from the league, although it might not come until next season. This incident is just another ding against Floyd as he hits free agency this offseason.

Cardinals WR Michael Floyd (hamstring) is active for today’s game against the Falcons. He didn’t practice on Thursday and Friday but evidently looked good enough in pregame warmups. Floyd is still extremely tough to trust in fantasy lineups.

Cardinals WR Michael Floyd (hamstring) is officially questionable for this weekend’s game against the Falcons. He didn’t practice on Thursday or Friday after seemingly injuring that hammy on Wednesday. HC Bruce Arians labeled Floyd a game-time decision, and we’ll find out his status by noon ET on Sunday. But Floyd will be a risky fantasy option if active.

Cardinals WR Michael Floyd (hamstring) was held out of Thursday's practice with a hamstring issue. He wasn't even on the injury report on Wednesday, and it's unclear when the injury occurred. We'll see what Floyd is able to do tomorrow.

11:36am EDT 10/30/16

Cardinals WR Michael Floyd (hamstring) is active for today’s game against the Panthers. He only put in 1 limited practice this week and is a risky Week 8 fantasy play. Floyd’s presence does put a dent in WR J.J. Nelson’s flier appeal.
