Bucs WR Vincent Jackson has been diagnosed with a torn ACL, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, and has been placed on IR. The injury occurred 2 weeks ago, but V-Jax practiced on Monday before realizing that something wasn't right. This might be the end of the line for the 33-year-old, who was ineffective through the first 5 games, averaging just 11.5 yards per catch. Adam Humphries is next up on Tampa's depth chart, although he's more of a slot guy. WR Louis Murphy, who was activated from the PUP list on Monday, is also an option. Regardless, WR Mike Evans will continue to dominate targets.
Update: ESPN's Ed Werder reports that Jackson has not yet been diagnosed with a torn ACL. He's still heading to IR, but there's a chance he's able to return before the end of the season. He remains droppable in all fantasy leagues.
Bucs WR Vincent Jackson suffered a knee injury against the Panthers back in Week 5. Tampa Bay was off last week, but it sounds like V-Jax is in danger of missing Sunday's game vs. the 49ers. That'd likely mean a bigger role for WR Adam Humphries, although WR Mike Evans will continue to dominate targets.
Cardinals DC James Bettcher says Cardinals top CB Patrick Peterson won't be following Bucs WR Mike Evans around the formation Sunday. “I think there will be some situations where those two guys will be together,” Bettcher said of Peterson on Evans, according to ESPN's Josh Weinfuss. “There’ll be situations where he’ll be on Jackson, too. We’ll see on Sunday how they play us and how they do some stuff what those matchups will be.” That's good news for Evans' fantasy outlook, as he should see Arizona rookie CB Brandon Williams at times. Tampa Bay's passing game could prove dangerous all season. At the least, both Evans and Vincent Jackson are certainly in play across full-season and DFS fantasy formats this week.
Bucs insider Roy Cummings believes WR Vincent Jackson "should have little trouble regaining his 1,000-yard receiving form this year." V-Jax missed 6 games with a pair of injuries last season and finished with a 33-543-3 line. That put him on a 16-game pace of 869 yards. Jackson topped 1,000 yards in each of his first 3 seasons in Tampa Bay. He's 33 now, but Cummings says Jackson "has shown no real signs of aging." We have him projected to fall short of 1,000 yards, but V-Jax still looks like a nice value at his WR51 ADP.
Bucs WR Vincent Jackson (knee) has been placed on IR and won't play in Sunday's finale against the Panthers. He ended up missing 6 games this season with knee issues. In the other 10, Jackson averaged just 3.3 catches and 54.3 yards and .3 TDs per game. That's a 16-game pace of 53-869-5. Turning 33 in a couple of weeks, V-Jax's days as a fantasy football starter might be over.
Bucs WR Vincent Jackson (knee) remained out of practice on Wednesday. The veteran might be done for the year after spraining his MCL against New Orleans in Week 14. If that’s the case, his 11th NFL season will end with a disappointing 33 grabs, 543 yards and 3 TDs.
Bucs WR Vincent Jackson (knee) has been ruled out for Thursday night's game against the Rams. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said earlier this week that V-Jax has an MCL sprain that will cost him "several weeks." WR Donteea Dye figures to start in Jackson's place tomorrow night but isn't a fantasy option.
Bucs WR Vincent Jackson will miss "several weeks" with an MCL sprain, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. It sounds like V-Jax will only play again this year if Tampa reaches the postseason. He can be dropped in fantasy leagues. WR Mike Evans will dominate targets the rest of the way. He averaged 13.7 targets in 3 games with Jackson sidelined earlier this season.
Bucs WR Vincent Jackson injured his knee in the 1st half of Sunday's game against the Saints. He's doubtful to return. V-Jax missed a bunch of time earlier this season with a knee injury. It's unclear if this is related.
Bucs WR Vincent Jackson (knee) is active for today’s game the Eagles. He’s been out for the last 4 weeks but put in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. Consider V-Jax a risk/reward WR3 in the plus matchup.
ESPN's Adam Schefter hears that Bucs WR Vincent Jackson (knee) is expected to play against the Eagles today. V-Jax has been sidelined since Week 7 but put in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. Consider him a risk/reward WR3 in the plus matchup. His return figures to cost WR Mike Evans a few targets, but he remains a high-end WR1.
Bucs HC Lovie Smith labeled WR Vincent Jackson (knee) a game-time decision for this weekend's tilt with the Eagles. V-Jax put in limited practices on Thursday and Friday and has made "a lot of progress," per Smith. We'll find out his official status by noon ET on Sunday. If active, Jackson will be a risk/reward WR3 in his 1st action since Week 7.
Bucs WR Vincent Jackson (knee) put in a limited practice on Thursday -- his 1st since going down in Week 7. V-Jax still is not expected to play against the Eagles on Sunday, but he's trending toward a Week 12 return.
Bucs WR Vincent Jackson (knee) is not expected to play against the Eagles this weekend, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. V-Jax remained sidelined on Wednesday and has no timetable for return. WR Mike Evans has averaged 13.7 targets per game with Jackson out the last 3 games.

Bucs WR Vincent Jackson (knee) remained sidelined on Wednesday. Don't count on him returning for this weekend's game against the Cowboys. That'll mean another heavy dose of targets for WR Mike Evans.
Bucs WR Vincent Jackson (knee) did not practice all week and is out for Sunday’s game against the Giants. He remains without a timetable for return. Rookie WR Donteea Dye gets another start, but WR Mike Evans will continue to dominate targets.
