Ravens QB Joe Fagnano will start Thursday night's game vs. the Jaguars, HC Jesse Minter announced. Fagnano came out of the Bills loss with a right ankle injury and was wearing a brace in Tuesday's practice. But he's evidently healthy enough to get the nod over QBs Austin Reed and Kedon Slovis. Fagnano went undrafted this spring after a seven-year college career that started at Maine and ended at UConn. He completed 61.9% of his passes at 7.6 yards per attempt as a student athlete. Fagnano simply isn't an NFL-caliber passer and figures to sink Baltimore's offense. Zay Flowers is the only Ravens pass catcher in play for Week 9 fantasy lineups, and he lands in WR3 territory in our rankings.

But he averaged just 6.3 yards per attempt, and the Ravens leaned run with a -2.5% pass rate over expected. We'll likely see another conservative, run-leaning attack if Huntley starts Sunday's game.

Flowers’ high-end target earning showed in the Ravens overtime win over the Falcons. He hauled in eight of his team-high 9 targets for 53 yards and added 13 rushing yards, finishing as a WR2 despite not accounting for a TD. That makes nine straight games of WR2 or better finishes for Flowers dating back to last season.

"I don't think it's going to be crazy long-term," Minter added. It doesn't sound like Jackson is facing an extended absence, but fantasy owners should get a backup plan in place for Week 5. Jackson's absence would leave Tyler Huntley under center for Baltimore. He owns a career 67% completion rate but just 5.9 yards per attempt. Huntley played 2 full games last year and posted 186-1-0 and 107-1-0 passing lines. He'd clearly be a big downgrade for WR Zay Flowers and the rest of Baltimore's passing game.

That marked a big rise from Flowers' mere 31.1% playing time through his first two appearances this year -- surrounding a missed week -- and 48.1% route rate. Flowers wound up with 8 catches for 118 yards and a TD among 10 targets, leading the team in each category. The numbers would have been even larger if QB Lamar Jackson hadn't left early with a left-ankle injury.
